I bought this blade to use as a multi-purpose knife to attach to my PFD or other jackets for a quick access knife.Obviously it's got a point unlike other river knives but I wanted something for multi-purpose. I like the handle a lot - will stay in hand nicely even if cold and wet. The sheath is ok - takes a little getting used to but holds the knife well. I wish the sheath had a clip on the back - only has holes for tying to a vest or something. Strong blade. I like it.

I carry this knife daily, and the steel/blade is 5 stars hands down. I love cold steel and own several of their products. The problems with this knife are several. First the finger hole next to the blade is cumbersome, and impedes the transver of grips. I always feel like I'm going to drop the knife or cut myself (with this knife the razor edge it is a real problem). Outside of this the knife is great. The sheath is just crap. First its plastic, less then a month of owning it, the sheath is already seperating. The knife does not slide into the sheath well and you have to hold it properly so that it will go in, making it virtually impossible to wear on the hip. Now I know that it is suppose to be worn around the neck but if this is the case the chain is too long and so the knife sits on your belly. It is just not comfortable, and there is no way to add it to a hip/belt sheath unless you have a custom sheath made for it. So yes its a good knife and I use it a lot but the sheath is just crap.

Knife is very nice - great price,

Knife is very nice. I'm big guy >6' / 240 lb; knife has a wide blade for a neck knife. I really like the grip- very secure feel and prevents blade flipping. Grip does limit holding positions, but I'm ok with that. This is a last resort knife for me. I had the back side of the blade one inch from the tip sharpened for two way cutting. The sheath is very secure, it takes practice to remove knife. I wear the sheath with release latch facing in (blade facing left). Right hand removal-use pointer finger to push release toward you. Then pull down. At first, used tip of thumb to push off edge of release button to remove knife. Note: After >30 removals release button will work better. Currently I have not figured out how to put knife away with on hand. Knife is difficult to return into sheath also due to having the blade back sharpened. I am very careful and put it away outside the shirt. From Runamuck *** review. I removed 5" of chain for a higher better under the shirt fit. The knife is very sharp out the box. Has a 3" blade legal in the city I live in. Friends' Cold Steel knives are awesome and money well spent. Other knives I use / have: for reference: _ Scimitar Spike, blade length is too long for city law, moved to G.O.O.D. bag. LOVE this knife! The knife & sheath are amazing. _ Cold Steel G.I. Tanto 80PGT Fixed Blade Knife, <$30 took on a tactical camping trip. What can I say; basic, looks like it was cookie cutter stamped out. Weighs 11oz. try it out. Just as good for me as my $80 Gerber i retired after the trip- save the weight & your money. _ Kershaw 1660 series for pocket knife / daily use. _ Kershaw: Antelope2 camping, hiking - replaced sheath with kydex _ Sharpener currently use in field. Smith's $9 on Amazon

Not razor sharp out of the box, but 5 minutes with a fine stone solved that. Flat knife, easily hidden with either the enclosed neck chain or with a Merc-Harness for EDC. I might possibly experiment with wrapping the handle with gutted paracord to increase the security of the grip. I wouldn't hesitate purchasing any of the CS Double Agent series knives.

Although I would not call this a neck knife because of it's large profile and overall size, it is a nice knife with a decent sheath. The button mechanism that locks the knife into the sheath could be a weak point but time will tell. I bought this for my collection so it will see little use. Cold Steel makes a quality product. The knife is sharp, has a good satin finish with polish on the hollow grind, and the plastic on the handle really helps with functionality of the knife. Great product and probably the nicest neck knife you can get for this price!

I bought both the Double Agent and Double Agent II and have been very satisfied with both. The carbon steel blades are STRONG and ship with a very respectable edge right out of the box. If you're looking for a self defense blade that almost can't be knocked out of your hand and is highly resistant to disarming techniques, I recommend you give these a look. Very light weight, can be carried as a neck knife or in just about any other way imaginable. The sheath is a very clever design and adds very little bulk. The release system is definitely different; you have to press in a button through the forward finger hole to release the blade. It's cumbersome at first, but can be mastered quickly with modest practice. If you intend to carry it for defense, YOU MUST practice this and master it FIRST. I like the Cold Steel blades for their combination of toughness, hardness, and ability to hold an edge, I have yet to be disappointed with one of their blades. Highly recommended...

A good knife for the price! Excellent sheath and edge.Pros: Very sharp out of box, the sheath is excellent, thumb grip on top is a plus. Cons: A little lighter than I expected. Size is too big for a neck knife.

This knife sits securely in its rigid sheath and releases with the touch of one finger. It is one of the sharpest blades I have purchased do far. I like it and feel it's worth the price and more.

This knife is great and big for a neck knife i love it, it comes with a lifetime warranty and the steel is solid giving me confidence in splitting small pieces of wood to start my fire.

I love Cold Steel blades. This one is no different. The blade takes an edge like no other. After sharpening, I used my strop to put a razor's edge on it. Awesome! The only complaint is the cheapish sheath that it comes in. It's plastic with a ball chain. The "release button" is kind of difficult to use.
