Product Description

Inferno is a new pepper canister weapon from Cold Steel that will turn the biggest, meanest, most violent criminal into helpless molten wax at your feet. Unlike other pepper sprays you may have heard about, Inferno deploys a highly targetable foam that contains 8% Oleoresin Capsicum and 2% black pepper. It dissolves into a liquid on contact (this liquefaction effect is tactically important, since other sprays remain "foamy" -like a pie in the face-and make it possible for your assailant to wipe the foam from his face and chuck it at you). One good shot in the face with Inferno will dilate the capillaries of the eyes causing temporary blindness. It will induce choking, coughing and nausea and most importantly trigger and immediate and massive sneeze reflex (due to the atomized black pepper particles) that will drag the super hot Habanero chili extract deep into the mucous membranes of the sinus cavities of the nose, throat and lungs causing them to swell up and prevent all but desperate life support breathing. This is mechanically easy to use. Your thumb fits right in and you KNOW you are ready to go. The other ones out there have a small tab you swivel and never know if its ready to go or not without looking down (Not good in a hurry in the dark!)
This is perfect.

Had an occasion to use Inferno during a dog attack. There were two dogs, the leader stopped it's attack after I began spraying with the canister. The second dog appeared to follow the leaders example and stopped it attack.

After being called to return by owner, dogs ran off apparently unaffected. The lead dog got a couple of direct shots to the face,but did not display any impairment. Both dogs were long-haired.

On another occasion, was attacked by dog,and protected my self with a conventional pepper spray(not Inferno). The attacking dog had a very sharp reaction; stopped it's attack and quickly ran away, after only one spray.

I did not get the impression that it was at all effective against the dogs, because of their complete lack of reaction to a strong pepper gel spray.
