This is mechanically easy to use. Your thumb fits right in and you KNOW you are ready to go. The other ones out there have a small tab you swivel and never know if its ready to go or not without looking down (Not good in a hurry in the dark!)

Had an occasion to use Inferno during a dog attack. There were two dogs, the leader stopped it's attack after I began spraying with the canister. The second dog appeared to follow the leaders example and stopped it attack.

After being called to return by owner, dogs ran off apparently unaffected. The lead dog got a couple of direct shots to the face,but did not display any impairment. Both dogs were long-haired.

On another occasion, was attacked by dog,and protected my self with a conventional pepper spray(not Inferno). The attacking dog had a very sharp reaction; stopped it's attack and quickly ran away, after only one spray.

I did not get the impression that it was at all effective against the dogs, because of their complete lack of reaction to a strong pepper gel spray.

Never had to use it, but seems like it would be very easy. Fits will in my purse or even a coat pocket for hiking.

The product came as advertised in tamper-evident packaging. Which was nice. I removed the label and hit it with some rem-oil so it didnt look like what it is. That label is rather aggresive. Havent used it yet but saw the videos that cold steel did. Good luck to all.

It's really hard to tell how big the cans are. Let's see, no dimensions listed, and nothing in the picture of a known size to compare to. There are at least four or five sizes and I cannot tell how big any of them are. The listed capacities are for the reagent and not the total can size with propellent so again, no help.

Cold Steel has been around for a while now, and they know how to build an excellent product. This is one of those products. I have always feared/doubted the efficacy of economical & cheap pepper sprays, afraid of having any function/quality issues whatsoever when the time arose that I needed to defend myself. Well here I have no worries, can sleep at night confidently, knowing that I am secure and safe with a product that will not fail on me when I need it most. Not only is Inferno going to work, but it's going to work better than anything else around, with a solution that is remarkably more effective than anything else I have seen. I will put my trust in this product, and am happy to recommend it.
