When I first got the knife, I looked it over, and I started to compare it with my Tokyo Spike when I first received that in the mail. It came razor-sharp and the sheath, after working it in with a few insertions and removals, became easy to handle, much more so than when I first received my Tokyo Spike. I tested penetration between the two and the Scimitar outdid the Tokyo, though to be fair, I was using the bubble-wrap pack that the Scimitar arrived it. Needless to say that, while the whole Spike series shines, the Scimitar is the main attraction. With a point designed to easily penetrate, and a curved edge ideal for laying long slices into whatever you need to, the bead chain makes it a perfect EDC knife when you're walking around. Whether for self-defense or for house chores, superior cutting and piercing in an uberlight package makes this one of the best neck knives you can get, and at a decent price. As for delivery, despite giving the wrong address (we recently switched from our home mailbox to a PO Box) I still received the knife within 4 or 5 days. Should I want another knife for my collection, I will definitely consider this dealer.

I absolutely love this knife. This should be a movie knife as it is stylish and effective. Its small stature makes this easily concealable and its toughness allow this to be a stabbing or slashing weapon. Out of the box it was sharp but a 2 minute sharpening session and this is very very sharp and one will need to be careful as this could require stitches if one is not careful. I will order one for the wife for personal protection and maybe look at the rest of the series and get another style for myself.

this knife is sure to impress any one at first sight itself. just want to point out a few things about this knife 1)this is not a easy knife to carry as an EDC (atleast for me) because i do not carry any of my knives as neck knives and this is a bit long to fit in pants pocket. 2) many states have specific laws regarding a dagger. this is not exactly a dagger but it could be classified as a dagger if the DA so desires ( a portion of spine is sharp too). 3) you can definetly use this knife in a self defense situation if you so desire ( blade is sharp, point can pierce without much effort and the shape of the blade will definitely make it work as a decent slasher and the thick part on the spine of the blade near the tip will ensure that whoever got pierced is going to bleed a lot) but you will have a very hard time defending yourself in the court, because all the jury is going to see is a wicked looking devilish blade.( even though it is not a huge knife the purpose of the blade is very clear from the "looks" of the blade)
i knew exactly what i was getting ( and this blade is for my collection) but the handle is too thin ( for my hands anyway) and the grooves to put your thumb is to the sides. the cord wrapping is done neatly and tightly and it does give this knofe a charecter of its own, but some people may not like it. ( i love it and i usually cord wrap all my fixed blades). i am not an expert on blade materials, but i understand that the blade material is not one of the top quality( actually from what i have gathered, it is a base quality) but this is no way a defect because of the primary use of this blade ( as a slasher or stabbing blade it will work exceedingly well regardless of the blade material).
things i absolutely love about this knife are the looks, the wicked sharpness and the quality that comes with a cold steel product. ( i do have a few cold steel knives that i actively use and love and so far they have never failed me eventhough most of them took a great beating)
overall this is going to be a sweet buy ( and price is good too). i surely recommends this knife.
