Some folks protest that they like the feel of a book and that the Kindle doesn't have it...with this cover - it does.
I've seen and handled several Kindle covers and this one is by far the best. It's comfortable and easy to handle. It does not get in the way. BTW, it looks great!

After playing around with the idea, I finally went ahead an got a case for my Kindle. I like using my devices "naked", ie without cases, but overtime found that a case for my kindle was necessary as my commute bag is filled with things that could easily damage or scratch the surface of my reader.
I wanted something that looked good but was also fairly basic and not too bulky when sitting in my bag. This case fit my criteria on all accounts. It looks great from the outside and I love the smooth and supple feel of the leather (as well as the smell) and it is truly a pleasure to hold and read without getting tired of holding. The business card holder is a nice touch in case I accidentally leave it one the bus one day. The case is also good for privacy, because, I will admit, I am one of those who gets annoyed by others beside me reading along. The one thing to be wary of is that the case will get some nicks and dents. If you look closely (from normal wear and tear) there are small cuts and scratches that happen as a matter of usage. This does not bother me, and is barely noticeable, but it may bother others and it is worthwhile to note take note of this. Now I will address some of the negative reviewers who erroneously state that this case does not fit the Kindle 2. THIS HOLDER FITS THE KINDLE 2. I will admit it is tricky to get it in. Here are the brief instructions. The top notch slides up and down to lock the Kindle securely into the cover. 1) place kindle in the bottom slot first. 2) slide down the notch on the top completely 3) slide the Kindle into the top notch 4) slide the notch back up to lock the device securely into the cover. These instructions will make more sense once you have both devices in front of you. The big point is the top notch slides down to line up with the built in slots in the Kindle.

I read all of the nine reviews ... and they came in at 4-s and 5-s. I had also read some 1-s on another, similar product by Cole Haan ... how the hooks would not fit into the Kindles. So I purchased a cover, thinking that Cole Haan would have fixed any covers that were defective.
I was wrong. The cover I received had hooks that would not even come close to fitting into my Kindle. I would advise against purchasing this item. Thankfully, Amazon continues to be the reputable company they've always been by honoring their guarantees. They refunded me fully. (Thanks, Amazon!) (I was hoping that the Amazon quality-control folks would have picked up on this issue from previous buyers.) So, I will save a few bucks and stick with the original Amazon cover (much less expensive and equally durable) that I purchased with my Kindle a year ago. It fit well from day one.
