Without question, this is the best Kindle cover that I have seen this far. The leather is soft and supple while the lining is a very nice suede. The quality of this cover is absolutely unrivaled. This cover is in an entirely different category from the cheap, low quality cover that Amazon pushes on their website. Totally recommend this Cole Haan cover!

I first bought product in the Brown and loved it. I was with a friend who also had a kindle 2 and I ended up giving him the Cole Haan Peebble Cover with the hinge. I then bought it again in Black and it is just a great product. I is durable, nice looking, and most of all it really protects my Kindle. Any marks that I get of the cover I just wipe them off and I am good to go.

I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to get a Great Looking Cover. Make sure you get the one with the hinge, it is a great part of the cover..It keeps your Kindle secure.

All the issues the customers originally had with this item seem to have been resolved with the new version. The leather is great, it fits perfectly in the hinges, and it covers the kindle entirely. Great product! Worth every penny.

This product is exactly as described.

I had the following requirements in a cover:
- Thin
- High quailty
- Good looks
- Hinge
- Folds back on itself for easy reading

This fits all of those criteria. Definitely worth the money.

I love the look and feel of this cover.

Although I am aware of issues in the past of side hinged covers causing cracks, based on the many raving reviews of this cover, I thought I had found a solution. I purchased it about 2 weeks ago, and have been very careful not to bend the cover back, and to always open it from the front.

My Dad came over, and I was excitedly telling him that I had found a side hinge cover that didn't crack the side of the Kindle, that the issues had been resolved, and that I was happy with my decision to spend the 50 dollars. He picked up my Kindle, in it's case, peeked at the side and proceeded to show me a small crack at the top hinge spot. I was devastated. If there are already cracks appearing after 2 weeks, I can not imagine what it will be like after 2 months, or 2 years.

I do not think there is any way I could have been any more careful with my Kindle. It has stayed in the cover since the first day I put it on. I have not taken it anywhere yet, I have not even had the chance to read it outside, or on a vacation, or anywhere but my favorite reading chair, at home. I am still in that *careful because it's so new* stage.

I do not think this is the result of faulty craftsmanship, the cover is beautiful. I think this is still an issue with the Kindle, and unfortunately, until Kindle resolves the issues with the side not supporting the weight properly, side hinge covers will cause cracks. At least this has been my very disappointing experience.

I plan on spending my day researching other covers, and would purchase another Cole Haan with a different hinge design if it was available.

The cover is well made and is butter-soft. It looks classy and feels great! The hinge is very secure - I like it much better than the type of cover that uses elastic to hold the Kindle in place.

My major complaint - and this could be a deal-breaker for women - is that there is no clasp or elastic to keep the cover closed. So this is not a cover that can be tosssed in a briefcase or purse. I also agree with the comment that the business-card sized pocket on the insde cover would be much more useful if it were larger. Not a big deal really, but it would be nice to be able to slide plane tickets etc inside the jacket. The cover will fold back behind the Kindle, but it's a little bulky when held this way. I was also surprised at how much heavier the Kindle is with the cover on, but that's probably true of any cover.

I'll probably keep this cover but for everyday use, I'll also have to order one with a clasp/closure. This one just won't provide enough protection when carried in a bag with other items. Too bad, because the other cases don't seem to be of the same quality.

This is my second cover for my Kindle; I originally bought the generic imitation leather one that caused my first Kindle to crack on the back. Amazon replaced my Kindle without charge, so I thought it was "high time" to buy my Kindle the cover it deserved in the first place...and boy, was I right! The Cole Haan cover is not only beautiful, it enhances my reading pleasure with its visual and tactile appeal. And who doesn't love the smell of real leather? It hasn't made a sound nor have I tasted it, but other than that I can truthfully say that the Cole Haan cover appeals to my senses in a most favorable manner. (a little humor there) I had a very difficult time deciding which color to order because they are all so beautiful. I have a friend who bought the red one, and she just can't stop talking about how many compliments she gets on it all the time when she's in public. I thought about the brown one seriously, but I finally decided on the black one because I wear more black shoes than brown. Now whoever said that one's book must match one's shoes? That is absolutely crazy, but it made sense at the time. I would guess that one could not go wrong with any of the color choices. Five stars for sure!

Gave this to my wife as a Christmas present...she absolutely loves the feel and quality of this item. Highly recommend spending the extra $50 or so to get this. You will not be disappointed.

Generally the Cole Haan Hand-Staned Pebble Grain Leather Cover for the Klndle is a very nice cover for the Kindle. It feels good, looks good and has excellent craftmanship. There is one minor niggle though: While the back is perfectly smooth, the front is a bit uneven and the surface looks a bit wavy. For an accessory of this price, I would have wished it was the other way around. This is why I assign just 4 stars.

This is absolutely beautiful. The suede on the inside is buttery soft. The stitching is perfect, not one stitch out of place or one hanging thread. The black leather is cut perfectly. The leather is the top of the line. This feels like it will last forever. Just as many people have commented on the cover as they have on the Kindle. 100% satisfied with this product.
