Cole's playing is amazing. He combines phenomenal
virtuosity with real feeling and a great sense of
musical fun. One can't help but feel that this is
how Gershwin's work was meant to sound.

I know Kevin personally, but that in no way affects my thinking of this album. Still, however, I find it to be the definitive CD for Gershwin's works. It's only a pity that Kevin hasn't recorded more than he has. I outright refuse to buy anyone else's Gershwin anymore...call me spoiled. Kudos to Kevin and his remarkable playing!

Had the pleasure of seeing Kevin Cole in concert with a symphony orchestra recently. After playing Gershwin's Concerto in F for piano, he played two wonderful solo encores. This CD contains lots more spirited solos. If not for the technically well-produced digital sound, at times you'd think George Gershwin himself played on this recording.

I had the great fortune of hearing Kevin Cole perform Rhapsody in Blue with the Seattle Symphony in May. He is an incredible performer and his CD is a dynamic presentation of Gershwin pieces. It's too bad that it is no longer in print but it was well worth the $40 I spent on Marketplace to get a copy. I'm so glad I found this CD. If you love American classic music this is a must for your collection.

This guy has supernatural ability on the keyboard. I gave the recording 4 stars instead of 5 only because some of his tempos are faster than I would like. If you like Gershwin, this guy is phenomenal.

My boyfriend took me to the Milwaukee Symphony and we were lucky enough to hear Kevin Cole in person. He is an amazing pianist so I decided I wanted to get the CD for my boyfriend for Valentines day. I only had a few days until Valentines day and I sent an e-mail to them asking if we could express it if I payed extra for the shipping. They assured me it would make it in time, and it did. Not only was it on time, it was also autographed by Kevin Cole. The music is wonderful and my boyfriend loved it.
