Easy to pull them out of the ground once you stake the tent.
Brian A. Case
Excellent heavy duty stakes, better than what comes with most tents , about twice the diameter.
Citizen John
Either way they are worth the money and you can't go wrong with them.

Although the plastic can be a bit prone to breaking - we love these pegs. They SECURELY anchor our tent and are easily retrieved from the ground. A++

The metal part of these spikes is durable, difficult to bend, and it holds well in most types of ground. The plastic part is prone to cracking off either partially or fully, particularly when trying to pull the stake out of the ground when breaking camp.

Use these to hold down a chain link fence in a dog park to prevent dogs from going under. Cost about 1/3 of the price of "fence anchors" sold by the fence company. Easy install. first set still working after 5 years. Need to place 18" or closer on outside of fence

The tent pegs arrived on time, and I used them that weekend. They worked great, easy to drive in, held tight, and easy to pull back out.

When I purchased a Coleman Hooligan 3 Tent for a holiday camping trip, it came with the usual thin, L-shaped stakes that were easy to bend with my bare hands. Before the trip I ended up buying a set of the Coleman 10-inch steel stakes to replace all of the original stakes that came with my tent.

Just by looking at the new steel stakes, you can tell that there's a big difference. The steel stakes are heavy, almost twice as long, a with a larger diameter compared to the stock stakes, which helped when some of my stake positions were on softer soil; there was no way that the thin stock stakes would stay in place, but the extra thickness, weight, and length of the steel stakes grabbed a good hold to the ground.

The molded ends have a hole and a tab to make tying down tent ropes a breeze. The hole is also meant to be used with Coleman's tent stake puller, which I also bought in a set along with a rubber mallet, tent brush and dustpan (here is the item: Coleman Tent Kit )

At about $4/set of 4, that comes out to one dollar per stake. My tent needed 12 stakes, but larger tents (such as family-sized, multiple room tents) will need more stakes, so the cost can go up fast - this is the only reason why I didn't give them a full 5-stars. Other than that, the 10" steel stakes outdo the stock stakes on all levels.

The stakes are much thicker/longer/stronger then the ones that come with the Coleman tents. I always hated the puny little stakes for tents, they would pull out or get lost in the brush so easy. These stakes are meaty and secure. The only problem is the plastic tops crack and break like a little girls heart. It might be cheaper to just buy of stakes/nails at the local hardware store.

These are very strong. They definitely held my tent down even in the wind. But the plastic tips on two of them broke while removing them. They held up to the impact of driving them in but couldn't stand up to the test of yanking them out!

These are a 'must have' for a new Coleman (or, likely any other) tent...as mine came with yellow plastic 6 inch jobs. These felt 'substantial' while hammering them in to secure my camp house.
