5.0 out of 5 stars Construction worker's dinner bucket
Great cooler for a construction worker's dinner bucket. Can hold food and drinks for those 16 hour days. Also is sturdy enough to sit on when there are no stools or benches.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst cooler I've ever owned
I bought one of these because I needed a slightly larger cooler than my trusty Lil' Oscar for a 3-day canoe camping trip. I pre-chilled the cooler by filling it with ice the day before the trip and my food and drinks were cold before I put them inside. Even after taking those steps, in less than a day all the ice had melted. By the morning of the second day, all of the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Little Cooler, September 19, 2010

I have an old Coleman Oscar cooler that my daughter comes over and borrows constantly, so I bought her this cooler for herself. It's roomy,(fits her Subway sandwiches in it), and she loves the attached cover. She has a 3-year old, so she doesn't have to constantly search for the cover after he gets something out of it. The cover closes securely by pushing it closed, as compared to mine locking by raising the handle (which is very annoying). I'm hoping that something happens to my old Oscar so that I can purchase one of these, but being that it is 27 years old, and nothing is wrong with it, looks like I'm stuck. Love this cooler.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cooler, February 7, 2011

This cooler does the job. It's not too big, but it fits a nice amount of drinks and a few sandwiches. Ice stays cold for a long time. I have actually found ice formed in my water bottles after being in this cooler for a few hours. It's happened several times, so I know it wasn't just a little frozen from being in the cold part of my fridge before I put it in the cooler. I love this.

I ordered two of these to fit into my Am. Trails Utility Bag Black - Zipperless Magnetic Closure - Carries Extra Gas, Coolers, Tool Boxes, and other bulky items. They are the perfect size for my bag and have enough room to let me keep plenty of cold drinks available for my bike rides. I love them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well for us, August 31, 2011

We have used this cooler for shipping water samples on ice via overnight delivery. Half gallon samples are in the coolers typically 18 hours. In summer, half the ice is melted by the time it arrives, but the water samples are still <6 degrees C upon arrival, which is what is required. I also like that the top is flat, which works nicely for stacking. 2 half gallon jugs fit great with plenty of room for ice. Lid closes very snugly, so cooler doesn't leak, but sometimes that makes it hard to open the top. Would like to see an insert tray included for small items if I were going to use it for picnics.

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst cooler I've ever owned, May 22, 2010
I bought one of these because I needed a slightly larger cooler than my trusty Lil' Oscar for a 3-day canoe camping trip. I pre-chilled the cooler by filling it with ice the day before the trip and my food and drinks were cold before I put them inside. Even after taking those steps, in less than a day all the ice had melted. By the morning of the second day, all of the food and drinks were warm. My trip was in the spring. The high temperatures were in the 50's and 60's and I kept the cooler in the shade as much as possible. Even so, it failed to keep things cold and I had to throw some of my food away. I would say that if all you want to do is take this cooler on an afternoon picnic or tailgating then it may be OK, but make sure you plan for having lots of water in the cooler from melting ice. It is definitely not an efficient cooler.
