Great idea but...,

Sounds like a great idea to have an all in one Grill/Stove however but this grill does not heat evenly at all. Non-stick surface is nice though. The other burner works adequately for smaller pots and pans. I would not likely buy this product again.

Well, I found it interesting that the grill I received in the mail from Amazon was not the blue one. It was black. Initially, I thought they had sent me a different item. But after going to the coleman site I found that the blue one was discontinued and I think this is the latest model. This being said, I will now be a bit skeptical when ordering from Amazon.
The grill itself is meant prevent me from having to take both a grill and a stove on camping trips. However, I own the duel fuel powerhouse colman stove and it is much more powerful. This is no secret though. I think this grill/stove would work great for two people. We are a family of four and it may be a little tight. 10,000 BTU isn't that much. So cooking large skillets of food may take a while. The only thing I have tried is chicken legs and I found there wasn't enough heat to cook them thoroughly do to the fact that you can't put a lid down like a traditional BBQ. I think if you could rig something to put over them to keep the heat in it would be fine. Other stuff like chicken breast, burgers, chops, brats, dogs, vegies, and whatever should be fine. It just isn't that big of a grilling space. I will need to try it for a season to really make a decision. I wish I could have bought this from REI or some other place that has a no question return policy. It seems like a chore to return to Amazon.

Love this grill. It's small and great for camping. Only regret that I didn't purchase the one with the electric start button.

get the best of both worlds with a grill and burner in a small unit
the only issue is you cannot have the left windshield up when using the burner but that not a major issue most of the time which is why i still gave it five stars

Good for tailgating, not camping,

Got this for Christmas and after trying it out once, will be immediately returning/exchanging it. The stove burner has a small grate and is near the edge, so you'll need to fold down the windscreen and balance precariously for a decent sized dutch oven (4 qt) or skillet.
The grill side has a non-stick coating and warns you that using any sort of pot/pan/griddle on it will void the warranty should it scratch the coating. Also, the grill burner simply doesn't put out enough heat to be usable for anything other than grilling hot dogs or hamburgers (no idea how well it works at doing that) - it couldn't boil a 3 qt uncovered pot of water in 30 min in 45°F weather. Basically, if you only need something to heat a small kettle of water (on the side burner) and grill hot dogs at a tailgate, this is the right product for you. If you want something to use with a cast iron griddle, dutch oven or skillet as a true camp stove, this is entirely insufficient. Oh, and it doesn't have an electronic ignition - not a huge factor given everything else.

Great Deal, Great Grill,

This grill stove is absolutely perfect for us. It's easy to use, easy to carry, and best of all easy to clean. You can even put a layer of foil down in the bottom of the grill part for super easy clean up. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes to go camping and is tired of trying to cook over a campfire. Don't skimp by buying something cheaper. You get what you pay for and more with this excellent grill stove.

Coleman 2-Burner Propane Grill StoveThis stove worked as described.Used at altitude it burned as it should.I never used the high setting. The grill is perfect for a dinner for two and the optional griddle cooked eggs and bacon for 4.We take this stove in our RV to cook outside,it is small and compact and takes little storage space.I highly reccomend this product even though it is a bit pricy.

Grate warped,

I posted a review a week ago with link to a reputable website (that also sells products on Amazon) showing the following information:
Material: Cast & Die Cast Aluminum Maximum temperature: 850ºF (454ºC) Melts at 1025ºF (552ºC) - (Blue tip of gas flame is 1400ºF/760ºC. Yellow tip is 900ºF/482ºC.) Presumably correct, this shows why the design for this (and the whole line) is flawed. I believe it, because my grate was warped the first time we grilled steak on high heat. Others have similar experience too. This is a very nice grill/stove combo, as long as you operate at low and perhaps moderate heat.

We were able to heat up a pot of sweet & sour pork, brew coffee, and cook bacon & eggs for breakfast (the Coleman 9 cup coffee pot works great, as does the accessory griddle... buy it with the stove, you will want it). I know this stove will not do what my dad's old green kerosene stove would do, but it weighs half as much also, don't need a concrete slab picnic table to support it, a small folding camp kitchen table will do. The side wind guards will not support much weight when laying down as a tray, pretty obvious just by looking at them, but they will work as a greasy spoon rest in a pinch. I bought my stove through my employer's rewards program, not from Amazon, but price was close.

We purchased this for our family camping trip. I brought only a small frying pan and small saucepan with us. My husband cooked all the meals and loved it. We used it for 4 breakfast meals, 4 suppers, and heated water for dishes about 4 times, and used only about 1 1/4 canisters. Everything cooked evenly, completely, and quickly (we tried pork chops, fajitas, hamburgers, bacon, eggs, sausage, and pancakes). We bought the Coleman Griddle to go with it, and it worked perfectly as well, although we opted to make the pancakes in the small frying pan. I didn't get the automatic ignite version, and I don't regret it at all. That would just be another part that may (or may not) break. This stove is simple, convenient, and works perfectly as it is. My husband is so proud of it that we're getting the carrying case to go with it.
