I own this chair, and have used it every summer for at least 10 years. Have been looking for a place to buy one for a friend. Am delighted to find it here. Being a large person, I seldom subject myself to the usual camp-type chair for obvious and potentially embarrassing reasons. This beauty is light-weight, roomy, has rounded legs which won't sink into soft ground when sat upon. All-round great.

I go to a lot of childrens' sporting events and I started to get backaches sitting (slumping) in those chairs that fold up and go into a sack. So, I decided to try this Coleman Captain's Chair. It is much lighter to carry than those fold up chairs. It folds flat and compact. It is much more comfortable than what I was using before and offers better back support. All in all, very satisfied with my purchase.

We have had one of these chairs for over 10 years ... and it's still going strong!! That's the main reason we decided to get more. Just bought 3 more and they are WONDERFUL!! Very strong, yet light-weight. They fold up nicely, are very comfortable and are sturdy enough for myself and a couple of our friends, none of us members of the "skinny-minny" club. We've tried other chairs at our campsite that cost slightly less than these, but they are not nearly as sturdy and comfortable as these. I WAS disappointed that they are now 'Made in China', but I must say the quality still seems to be there (compared to our "old" one). Overall, an excellent value!!

This chair is slightly higher than your nornal camp chair, so it is very easy to get out of (like getting up from a kitchen chair). It is VERY STURDY and comfortable. Very light weight and easy to carry, although you might want to fashion a homemade handle if you are going to carry it for any great distance. It is a great chair for the elderly or poeple who need assistance getting out of those low slung camp chairs. I actually prefer it to some of our expensive patio furniture. If you buy one, I'll gurantee you will probably be back for more.

This makes an excellent camping chair. It is oversized, sturdy and comfortable, yet light-weight. You don't have to worry about this one falling apart.

I ordered this chair because of some severe back
and hip problems, and when I'm sitting at ringside
at dog shows, that makes the pain worse. Since
this chair has much better support and a stronger
structure, it has worked great! I don't leave
it outside in the weather, so I don't know how
well it would fare outdoors ALL the time. I do
know it's GR8 for what I needed it for! It's light-
weight, so I can manuever it without assistance,
so I'm really glad that I decided to try it!
It gets FIVE stars in my book, and I don't leave
home without it!!!

This is no flimsy chair. Well made with light tubing. Very roomy for the large or small person. Good support in the seating area. Other chairs may fold down into a tighter package for travel but will sacrifice comfort. I give this chair two thumbs up, bravo Coleman...

Chair is light weight, yet durable. I bought 2, they store away
nicely for camping. Coleman is a brand you can trust.

Bought two of these chairs and have used them many times for fishing, soccer games, picnics, etc. and have been very pleased with their strength, ease of use, light weight, and cost. They handle fairly uneven terrain very well.

I purchased the Coleman Captain's Chair for my fishing excursions. I found it to be sturdy and comfortable for my large framed body and especially easy to get out of when the big fish bites. Unlike those other outdoor chairs which I sink in and struggle to get out of, I can spring out of the Captain's Chair with ease, even with my overweight body.
