These bags are great for sailing. We use them often to swim from the boat to the beach and they keep everything perfectly dry. The only thing missing is a strap so carrying them on short hikes would be easier.

These bags are thick, waterproof, reinforced and rip-stop. They are not as pliable as a nylon stuff sack so they are not ideal for 'stuffing' and packing it into small spaces. They are however the only bag I found that provides high quality, durable, see-through & waterproof containment. Great for clothes, contaminated boots, food-stuffs, etc....and at a good price. Hopefully as technology advances, they will make the material just as strong but thinner...then it it will have more functionality.

We bought these bags to use on a canoe trip to protect our gear. It turns out we've ended up using them for our regular boating trips when we want to assure that anything water sensitive (cameras, phones etc) are protected. They are nice and firm, not too mushy. I really like that they are clear so we can see who's items are in which (we have several).

The yellow tabs are lashing tabs and we use those when on canoe trips to make sure they don't get away. You can use a Carabineer to lash and remove them easily, or run a rope right through under the tab.

While the size might seem ample, with a camera, towel and a few clothes items one is easily filled. They fit nicely in cubbies in our boat so they work great for us.
