5.0 out of 5 stars Great for outdoor and indoor use
This is one handy, cool light. The beam pattern on the bright white light is smooth providing a consistent brightness across the entire diameter. I'm not much of a hunter, so I typically use the red and blue beams indoors. The red is especially good for preserving night vision. It works fine if you are careful not to turn the light function to the-w-position, in this mode it will inadvertently turn off unless you back it off just a bit.
Maybe this is an isolated incident I don't know, but if anyone else has the same problem i guess we will know please write a review to help confirm this either way.

This is one handy, cool light. The beam pattern on the bright white light is smooth providing a consistent brightness across the entire diameter. I'm not much of a hunter, so I typically use the red and blue beams indoors. The red is especially good for preserving night vision. I use it when checking on my young kids late at night (also helps in not waking them up!). The blue, for me, is more of a cool feature that the kids like to play with. I hear it is very effective in tracking blood trails when hunting but haven't tried it for this purpose.

I also enjoy the touch of the milled aluminum body. Coupled with the light's size, it makes for the perfect light to have around.

5.0 out of 5 stars great light, July 12, 2010

When in white mode, this light is really bright. It's nice to have the other colors to switch to. We were are camp and being attacked by light seeking bugs. It was nice to find out that the bugs don't want red light and leave you alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Flashlight, December 19, 2010

This is a great flashlight, even at the $29 price. Well made, very very bright on the white setting, with a combination focused and flood pattern that is very useful. The plunger switch in the end allows for rapid signaling or constant on. I have found the uncommon blue setting particularly useful when walking dogs at night. It provides enough light to see and will allow for 120+ hours of battery use (vs. only 5 hrs at the white setting). You can't go wrong with this light.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great if you can find one on sale!, November 14, 2010
This review is from: Coleman 3AAA Multi-Color LED Flashlight (Sports)
I found this flashlight on sale at a sporting goods store for $9.99 and thought I'd try it out (I bought 3). For that price, I figure I can afford to make a mistake or three. I must say that I'm impressed by this little torch. It's almost as bright as my 4D mag-lite, with a better pattern, and the light is a clean crisp white light. The beam is nice and focused and I can easily spotlight tree tops 300 feet away. It has enough spill to light up a large swath in your immediate vicinity while projecting a tight beam as far as the human eye can see. The casing appears to be well-made and is anodized aluminum. The switch is on the rear and is a plunger type on/off switch. The switch feels nice and robust, but a slight amount of pressure on the plunger will activate the light, so I'd be careful about carrying it around in my pocket. In fact, this is probably the only negative I'd give this light...the switch is so sensitive I can see accidentally draining the battery as a potential problem. The red light is handy if you need to read a map at night without losing your night-vision, as when using a telescope. Not sure what I'll ever use the blue light for, but my son thinks it's cool. This flashlight is made in China, so only time will tell if it will hold up to frequent use. If it proves to be a reliable light, I'll update my rating to 5 stars. Not sure if I'd pay $29.99 for one just yet, but if you can find a sale under $20, I'd say pick it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice small bright light., January 29, 2009
This review is from: Coleman 3AAA Multi-Color LED Flashlight (Sports)
The Coleman 3AAA Multi-color LED flashlight has an especially bright white light as well as red and blue for special uses. It is small in size with a very useful switch that provides for quick, short use as well as permanently on. Fits in a pocket so it is very handy to carry. I recommend it.
