The size of this cooler is about perfect for me(not too small not too big) This cooler is big enough to put lunch for two people. I usually put some California rolls, a few beer cans and some fruits for me and my girl friend. The box is pretty light to carry around. It's not too expensive either.

My husband requested I find this particular cooler because he liked the one a friend at work had in a different color. And now he has one and loves it! His job requires him to work in a really dirty, dusty atmosphere. But with this cooler he doesn't have to worry about any debris getting into his lunch -- and the container itself is virtually indestructible! His last lunch box, which had a nylon overlay, started showing wear shortly after he began using it. He finally had to throw it away because the nylon handle nearly tore off. He's had this one a while now and it cleans up great and keeps his food fresh and cold. It also is big enough to fit enough food for lunch and a snack!

Growing up we had coolers like these, better than the ones you find in stores now. Very happy with product. Searched high and low for this type at the store, glad I found it here.

I ordered online after searching stores for almost a year to replace my old trusty coleman. Although more $ than anything of the same size in stores, this smaller cooler is definately worth the extra$ to keep things really cold and prevent smashing (like most soft sided packs). It fits drinks and sandwiches for 4 (plus a little ice) and sits steady on the floorboard of many car trips without leaks or much sweating. My only complaint is the thickness of the handle - my old one is much thicker and lasted 10+ years before snapping at the side when hubby loaded too much ice. I don't think this one will be as tough.

If you are going for a short trip (2 hrs or less) this item will do the trick. Other then that explore different products.

I've owed 2 of these handy little coolers and they always end up missing at some point when I'm not keeping a really good eye on them - even in situations where I wouldn't think they should end up missing they were.. not my fault, they're just that nice! :) They are a perfect for a small amount of food and/or beverage and I won't hesitate to buy another.. I got a call a little while ago saying my last one might have been tracked down.. If it hasn't I'll definitely be buying another.. :/

Dimensions listed for Coleman 8-qt. (personal) cooler were generous and somewhat misleading. Actual outside dimensions must have been measured as follows: depth, from top of lid to bottom of cooler; length, from one outside hinge of handle to the other; width, exaggerated and apparently from outside edge of handle when in horizontal position to opposite side of cooler where it curves slightly outward. Inside dimensions--real usable space--are about 7"d x 8.5"l x 6.5"w. If, as advertised, you can pack 10 soda cans, plan on using a few ice cubes rather than thick blue ice. Only 2 can/cup holders in lid.

I bought this cooler 15 years ago and I still often use it. It's held up from once being used daily for packing my lunch, and for many day trips where I just needed a small cooler.

It's not large, but it's good for lunch for two or four plus cans of beer with ice. I have left ice in it over night more then once to find the ice hardly melted the next day.

The new cooler looks much like the old Li'l Oscar we treasured for so long. Hopefully, it will be just as good!
