I ordered these to stuff in camping equipment for next seasons adventures. They get the job done but the metal is not as stiff as the GI P-38 type can openers you can find for instance here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001CUITA/ref=oss_product

The metal is not tempered well; when I use the bottle opener I need to use it two or three times to open a beer bottle cap. Using the can opener tends to bend the handle, and if I'm not very careful it would render the tool useless. They do work, but you need to be careful in order not to break the product.

I wouldn't say it's a bad buy considering the price, but it isn't the same high quality I would expect from the Coleman brand. If all you need is a lightweight manual can opener, go with the link I posted above. The metal is well tempered and it does not bend.

No magic here but nice that it is basically a small spoon as well so for ultra lite travel one less thing to have to pack since this is now a dual purpose item. Nothing fancy but enough of a spoon to scoop stuff out of the can and eat. Not deep enough for soup but would work for any other semi solid food stuff.

The can openers work great but they seem to dangerous to have around kids. I won't buy them again because they are like an exposed blade. Quite dangerous if you keep them in drawers.
