A 'one star' rating is exceedingly generous in this case.

Only 5,000 BTU, when my Coleman 2-burner stove has 2 burners at 10,000 BTU each?

If not, your food will cook unevenly as the heat will not distribute equally.

Finally after getting so frustrated with it, I timed how long it took to boil one quart of water. After 50 minutes I finally turned it off to save the propane.

This thing is an EXCELLENT idea! Unfortunately, it's TERRIBLE execution. It took an hour and a half to make a pot of coffee, using my Coleman drip coffee pot. Only 5,000 BTU, when my Coleman 2-burner stove has 2 burners at 10,000 BTU each? What were you thinking Coleman? This wimpy burner turns a must-buy product into a pure waste of money. I tried to give it a zero star rating, but I must give it at least one star. :(

great combo package - but on a cold, breezy day, could use more BTUs to cook or boil.
HINT: when cooking on the griddle or grill, close the top to keep heat in and cook faster.

also, the included carrying case is not quite big enough; could not figure out how to fit it all in the bag, so I emailed Coleman and asked "how it all fits in the provided carry bag without damaging the enamel coating on either the stove component or the stock pot" - their response was "The stock pot sits on top of the grill. The plastic legs will not scratch the grill."

I wanted a new small patio grill for steaks and stuff. This is perfect and does the job well. My Cadek combo unit is a P. I.T. A. as it has one temperature: Blast furnace.

This is compact, all pieces fit together cleverly, easy to clean, etc. It'll do the steaks and stuff just fine. I'm happy. I havent used the griddle yet, nor the pot-grill so I can't comment on slow cooking of a big pan of chili on it. But, then again, I bought it for grilling not cooking. For cooking, I have a 2-burner Coleman camping stove. This is easier to set up and take down.

Attaching the cannister is very easy, attaching the att chement is also very easy, something they've improved upon design-wise. Easy finger-tight attaching.

I bought mine at Ross for $50 on blow-out, so it was very worthwhile. I know I wouldn't pay $150 for it, tho. Better a good camp stove than $150 for this one.

All in all, I'm very satisfied at the unit, for its price and for what I want to use it for.

We bought this product at Costco and it came with the "crockpot" type addition. For the first use, we cooked Tri Tip and it really became a greasy mess. No bother, I'll clean it up! Well, the drip pan portion that surrounds the burner is super sharp. While cleaning, I cut my thumb on the edge and was bleeding pretty good. I was happy to use my new first-aid kit, but others should be warned (I still have the scar).

More advice is to make sure the grill is level. If not, your food will cook unevenly as the heat will not distribute equally. My favorite accessory is the non-stick griddle. It works great for pancakes as well as bacon and cleans great (without cuts, blood and scarring).

Would I buy this again? Most likely not as my wife hates this thing (even though it was her idea to buy it). It's not my favorite item to clean (obviously) and once you remove all the accessories from the grill, the lid becomes top heavy and the whole thing tips backwards. It's the only Coleman product I have where it seemed little thought went into this thing. If you're having second thoughts on this product, I'd skip it. I'm sure I could've found a cheaper griddle.

I really do like this cooker. I cooked a cheese soup in the slow cooker for a tailgate on a somewhat cool day (45 F) and it worked much better than I had expected. I did not experience any sticking, which was very strange since this soup sticks like mad at home even to my no-stick pans. It seems like using the grill will create a huge mess in the drip tray. The griddle needs a "seasoning" coat of oil, but then again, so do my ones at home. It was a fairly windy day, but had no problems with this. I really doubt I would put a pan on this to cook with as I have a 3 burner stove that I really like. However, this was great for our tailgates and I am really happy with it. I bought it used from someone who did not like it.

Better allow lost of time for your meal, this 'cooking system' [sic] takes over an hour just to cook an egg. I wouldn't accept a substandard product that poor for $19.99 never mind $100. Unfortunately it seems modern day Coleman products just aren't what they used to be.

A 'one star' rating is exceedingly generous in this case.
