I purchased this burner when I first heard my family was going to try camping for the first time in a long time. I was sick of using Burners that caught on fire or that would tip over and light my utensils on fire. I also needed the added benefit of having something available for emergencies as we're always dealing with Hurricane warnings and I had wanted to purchase something Pseudo-safe to use indoors.
Well this is the ticket. I actually found it on Display at an outdoor Store and fell in love with the machine and purchased it through Amazon.
I must say, for the money, there is nothing that compares to the simplicity and ease of use. You really do just open the canister door and place a Butane canister in the slot and press the button. The ingenious invention breaches the butane seal itself and starts the flame with the first Click of the Spark. I've used this for picnics on the beach to make some fresh burgers when the BBQs were all in use. I've used this on the boat. You really will love this product. I do not review things that I have not used and abused. This has been through plenty and it's still as beautifully efficient as it was the first day I used it.
It also doesn't get the ugly burn marks some portable stoves get. The Butane will run about 1.5 hours on high but it will boil a 2 quart pot of water in less than 10 minutes so you can cook plenty with just one canister.

I bought the Coleman InstaStart Butane Burner about 5 yrs ago and it still works great. Im soo glad I bought this item and it has came in handy also during electricity outings.
