Unfortunately XL means extra tall. The front legs also hurt the sides of my legs when sitting in it by the campfire. By the end of the weekend I had bruises on the sides of my legs. If it were not for the foot stool it would have been impossible to sit in. Also the back is so low you can't rest your head and the security pockets awkward.
