Coleman 3-burner dual fuel stove,
By
This review is from: Coleman 3 Burner Dual Fuel Deluxe Liquid Fuel Stove (Sports)
This stove is the same basic design as those I've used for the last 40+ years. Just that now it burns unleaded gas, which is about one-third the price of Coleman fuel in our area right now.
The main reasons for my purchasing the stove were (1) wanting to save on fuel, and (2) wanting a larger cooking area and three burners. The stove delivers admirably on both points. Lots more space than my original two-burner, and the flareups I had expected might occur with gasoline don't happen: it's just like lighting the stove using original Coleman fuel. Highly recommended.

Good stove for large group,
By The stove was light and took a beating for three days with no issues. We were all well fed! I liked having the 3 burners to cook with two and have coffee going on the third. We also used it to heat water for doing the dishes afterwards while still cooking or keeping food warm. That was quite handy. Coleman white gas is cheap and clean. The stove is easy to use and the Coleman company wisely stenciled the lighting instructions on the lid knowing that the instructions would never make it to the campsite. (Good call on their part!) In case you're wondering... the advantage of liquid fuel over propane is that if you're in a very cold environment, propane won't vaporize to fuel the burner. White gas will even when well below freezing. I would have given it 4.5 stars but that's not an option.

Cleman 3 Burner Dual-fuel Stove,
This review is from: Coleman 3 Burner Dual Fuel Deluxe Liquid Fuel Stove (Sports)
Well made (in the USA no less)and solid. Center burner is the "on burner" which makes the stove very accomodating of large size pot or kettle. Both outside burners are plenty hot and useful. If "Coleman qualified" it is a simple stove to operate and maintain. If not, it is easy to master. This is a large stove which is actually useful as a replacement home stove if power is out (though should be used only outside). Use of lead free gas makes it cheap to operate over the long hual. Totally satisfied with this classic.

This stove is a timeless classic who's quality speaks for itself; its reputation is well-earned. I agree with the other reviews that attest to its quality, durability, its economical operation and the flexibility of being able to use unleaded gas.
When I received it, I found out why the 2-burner model is much more popular than this one --> At 32" wide and nearly 20 pounds, this 3-burner model is dramatically larger than the 24" wide, 12 pound, 2-burner model. Before ordering this model, I advise you to consider the added size and weight of the third burner in this model. It's certainly better for cooking than the 2-burner model, but it might be more stove than you want to carry.

This 3 burner version of the standard Coleman 2 burner classic. Main burner is in the middle with secondary burners on both sides. Distance of Center to R/L is same as the classic so you won't get any more space for cooking, just an extra burner on the other side. Workmanship, materials and such are not as solid as my old 40 yr old model but sturdy enough to not have complaints. This model does not have extendable feet so if the table is tilted so will the burner surface.

What a beast!,

This really is a big stove and it can pump out some serious heat. It makes the old two-burner "suitcase" look like a toy by comparison, and the two-burners are not small. The previous reviewer was right on the money saying that it looks/feels bigger than the actual dimensions indicate. If you are feeding groups this is your stove. If it's just a couple of people camping then two burners would likely be sufficient.
I like the central location of the main burner and the fact that it will burn unleaded. Right now unleaded is $2.40 in my neighborhood and the cheapest coleman is $6.20 at wally world. Unleaded does have a /bit/ of smell while running, and noticeably more when starting and shutting down. If you are fume-sensitive you could run Coleman fuel in this beast and use unleaded only in emergencies. Note that generators last longer on plain coleman fuel anyhow. Note: there is some evidence that using gasoline with ethanol on it may be bad for the stove, so check that when you fill up the gas can.

This is a nice stove, but don't purchase if you want a small easy to carry model for hiking. This stove is about 32 inches long and really it looks bigger. I wanted to convenience of boiling water while also cooking breakfast. It's nice to have the water hot already for easy clean up of cast iron cookware or for hot cocoa.
The center burner is the work horse while the outter burners supply less BTU's. Trust me, they're more than enough as I have to turn down the middle burner to not scorch everything. I use the middle burner to heat water and the outter ones to fry up breakfast. I haven't had it long so I'm not sure about longevity. If you have a family of four or more, I highly recommend this model for camping. It's also nice to have it in case of power outtages during storms.

Very easy to operate and reliable even in very cold wether when hunting elk, a bit flimsy with the metal work but that doesn't effect the preformance I would buy it again and again.

Happy Husband,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My beloved husband had an old Coleman 2 burner stove, almost on it's last coleman fuel breathe. He hates to get rid of anything as this old stove had cooked many meals and boiled many a shrimp for festive ocassions. My husband is passionate about his shrimp cooking. When he opened his new 3 burner Coleman stove he was delighted; which is the best he can do since he doesn't get excited about things like I do. He has shown everyone who visits us his new stove. Pounds of shrimp will be cooked and his famous oyster stew will be gently done on this new stove. Thanks for such a great price and fast shipping.
