Bought this for the turtles to use during winter months when they can't bask in the sun outside. It works well. Cord was long enough and the on/off switch being further down the cord, prevents any heat touching my hand when I turn it off. Its exactly what I wanted, so am happy with the purchase. And the turtles seem pretty happy too.

This lamp is the perfect size for a 26w cfl, and works well as a plant light.
The downside is that the reflector is made of very thin aluminum, and dents quite easily (e.g., when dropped).

I ordered this reflector light for my bearded dragon...it does a great job of pumping up the light and heat of a 60 watt bulb at less than half the price of the reptile lamps I had bought previously at the pet store.

Decent light
All I wanted was a cheap flood light that wasn't too fragile. This fits the bill perfectly. The shade is much sturdier than the ones at the hardware box store. Read more
