I installed it on my 2007 Kawasaki klr 650 and it fit perfectly.
Reynaldo Estaniel
Overall good fit with minor adjustments, it looks like it is made of good quality material, but most of all no more pain from stock seat.
Brad

I modified this to fit my KLR650 without scratching my side panels with the fasteners. I cut the fasteners off and re-sewed them to fasten under the seat instead of on the sides.
Fits much nicer and like it was made for the KLR.
Provides a little more cushion for the rock hard KLR seat. A good value for the money.

I know all of us KLR owners want the Corbin or Sargent seat, buts let's remember it's a KLR. I just rode 100 miles on the stock seat on my late model KLR (08-13) and was hurting. I put this $18 cover on it and just rode 400 miles and can honestly say save your money and give this a try first. It's really not bad looking either.

The only thing I would change would to make it waterproof.

I have a 2012 KLR650. The seat must have been engineered by someone who still holds a grudge about being nuked. The stock seat is very hard. It might as well be made of wood.
This coleman seat cushion makes a big difference. It's well worth the $20.
A side note. I found this item on e-bay for $50. I'm glad I checked Amazon!

put it in my bike no modifications needed. Fits perfect and it looks good. Also makes the seat a lot cooler ( tmperature wise) is kind of a nylon bresthable material that does not getts as hot in the sun as the original seat. Extra cushioning is always good. no issue with the grip and quality manufacture.

I haven't yet used this on a long ride, perhaps I will update as I see fit.

It probably adds about 1/2-1" extra height to your bike...on a KLR this could be problematic for some users.

It also makes the seat wider, probably by an inch or so.

If you put it on a KLR (or any motorcycle/atv really), I'd recommenced really tightening it down. Take the seat off helps, and you can use twisty ties/paper clips to hold the straps under the seat. Make sure your placement on the seat does not conflict with the contact points of the seat...if you do this, installation goes well and shouldn't cause issues.

It is a good price on what seems like a quality product.

Update: This thing fades fast. I saw pictures of seat covers with a purpleish hugh to them. I thought that was a few years down the road - not so. About a month or two old, garage kept and parked in the shade at work and this thing is turning a little bit purpleish. I knocked it one star because of that - I guess you get what you pay for. Still I think I'd buy it again.
