My duffel arrived and I started packing for my trip...packed everything I wanted and still had room left over! The main compartment is zippered on 3 sides so you can actually see inside (no dark cavern) and it's easy to lay items flat. The handles/straps are heavy duty and stitched securely. The wheels roll and the handle expands...what more could you want? Oh, and the price was reasonable.

My wife and I bought two identical pieces of the 30" Travelers Choice Excursion Ii Rolling Duffel. This is a nice looking piece of luggage with the Coleman brand. It has one huge drawback and you should save your money if you want to lock your luggage with any confidence, because, based on our experience, you won't be able to after your first airline trip. (I note that of the other three reviews to date, all 5 stars, the luggage had apparently not yet been on an airline trip.)

Only the main compartment zipper pull-tabs have the small circular interlocking double fittings designed for a luggage lock. None of the other three compartments' zippers do, but you can put a luggage lock through the holes in the two zipper pull tabs for each of those compartments. Strangely, each semi-horseshoe fitting on top of every zipper slide mechanism, to which a pull tab of either kind attaches, is slightly open at one of the ends instead of being completely closed to securely hold the pull-tab to the zipper slide, so that with a good twist or yank, the zipper pull-tab can pull right off the slide - a bizarre design in my opinion.

On our first trip with the bags by air (US Airways - checked luggage), the zippers survived the 2 and 1/2 hours to our destination. They didn't all make it on the return journey. On one of the bags, the main zipper double-interlocking fittings were shorn off. On the other bag, one of the pull tabs on one of the auxiliary compartments was torn off and nowhere to be seen. The broken parts remaining appear to be that inexpensive gunmetal that is ineffective from a strength standpoint. In short, in my opinion, these are cheap, insubstantial zipper mechanisms on what otherwise seems to be a nice piece of rolling luggage for the price. If you do not care to lock your luggage on airline flights, then it may not bother you. It bothers us. We prefer to put TSA locks on our luggage, and also be able to pull the zipper slides with attached tabs.

Thus, in our view, the luggage is, unfortunately, useless from the standpoint described above, and we would expect the other zippers to go in short order.

We purchased the bags from eBags through Amazon, and eBags could not have been nicer or more courteous about promptly authorizing the return over the phone and providing, at their expense, Fed-X return labels by email.

I needed a new piece of luggage for a trip my wife was taking. We looked at numerous items and chose this. It has a couple of shoe compartments which are handy. It's really good sized, and seems well made. I think the Coleman reputation is a large reason for our purchase. The handle is sturdy and it rolls without problems. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Extremely fast shipping. Plenty of space. There are three side pockets that I really like. The zippers for the main compartment can be locked. Well all the zippers could be locked, but it's easier with the main compartment. Have had bag for about a month and used once. All the zippers are still intact and functioning. I like that there are two lengths for the handle. Don't have a problem with the bag standing upright. The only negative comment I have is that it didn't come with a shoulder strap. That would have made this bag perfect. The price is excellent and I'm so happy I decided to buy this.

Based on the existing reviews, the Coleman reputation and the 10 year warranty we purchased this as a 3rd bag for a long trip. Once we were on the road we wished we'd bought two. The duffel holds a lot of stuff and more importantly meets the airline criteria for maximum dimensions. It rolls smoothly and handles even broken up sidewalks with little trouble. We could have put another 10 pounds of stuff in ours but we already had 2 non-rolling duffels packed. I read a complaint about the non-main compartment zipper pulls breaking because they were open at the top. Well either Coleman fixed this or the duffel the reviewer got was defective. We use cable ties instead of locks and they slide through the base of the zippers. We had no problems at all. I'll be ordering another one of these before our next trip.

I had a family emergency in which I flew from CA to GA, I packed quickly - one oversized suitcase that cost an additional $49.00 for being overweight at check-in. On my return trip, I was looking for a quality, inexpensive luggage purchase - in purchasing this piece there was literally a two day turn around from order to receipt, product is great, collaspes, has great features for maximizing your necessities, comes from a recognized quality company. Extremly pleased with purchase.

This is a light weight bag. Good quality and holds plenty and more of what you would think. Have bought 4 before and 2 more now. love the handle to pull them and the extra outside pockets.

Nice luggage. I haven't gone on vacation yet, but I'm sure it will hold up fine. Looks study, smooth zippers, and lots of room.

I got this for my son to take to college. He needed a big bag to take his things, but will have very little storage space in his dorm, so a collapsible bag is great. This bag carried so much stuff! The separate zippered compartments worked great for keeping small items together. The bag itself is very lightweight which was important so we could fit as much stuff as possible and stay below the airline weight limit. The bag rolled easily. Can't comment on how durable it is since we only used it once, but so far we've had no problems.

It meets all airline specs and is well-designed. This is my favorite piece of luggage ever - and I'm counting expensive pieces in that equation...
