The Coleman Exponent Northstar tents are designed to meet the needs of serious outdoor enthusiasts who want a premium basecamping tent with a modern, roomy cabin style. The Northstar X8 sleeps 8 people comfortably in two rooms. Convert one room to a screened porch by rolling back the rainfly to reveal mesh walls, or lounge in the shade under the oversized awnings that stretch the entire 15' length of the tent. Enjoy stargazing out the two skylight panels. The Northstar X8 measures 15' x 10' with a 6'4" peak height. It features four doors for convenience and flexibility, two dry-entry vestibules for gear storage, a screen room at one end, and a side awning that can be erected above a door on either side of the tent. All four doors have mesh panels for ventilation; the interior roof is an expansive mesh area, while zippered fabric panels in the sleeping quarters provide outstanding ventilation control. The full-coverage rainfly with taped seams ensures weather protection. A clear window in the fly matches a zippered window in the tent, for letting in sunlight or gazing at the night sky. Premium 6061 T6 series aluminum poles are lightweight and convenient, yet provide excellent structural strength for withstanding wind and rainstorms. The poles feature variable tension with color-coding to simplify setup, and are field-repairable. Quick-clips that attach the tent to the frame poles make setup quick and easy. The space created between tent fabric and frame structure also allows excellent ventilation between the tent and rainfly. For conveniently powering electrical devices, two power-cord ports allow access to a power source without leaving the doors or windows open. Pack weight: 37 pounds.

I can't say enough about this tent. The floor is extremely rugged, not that you could put a hole in it if you set it up on a stick, but it will handle lots of heavy boot traffic and you can set up table and chairs on it without a worry. The materials are phenomenal. The poles are extremely durable. The fly is awesome. Absolutely no rain can get in unless you are in a hurricane or something. The tent is easy to set up and take down. With that said, you will need to plan on needing two people to set it up. If you got creative one person could probably do it, but not easily. We had trouble setting it up at first because we constructed the frame and then clipped the tent body to the frame. You will need a tall person for this. I am 6' 4" and I had trouble. The remedy for this would be clipping at least the center height clips to the center frame bar before lifting it up and position the side poles in place. Another thing to be aware of when considering to purchase the tent is that the center divider, while a major part can be unzipped like an outer door, it is a permanent divider. This means that there is a permanent rim around the whole inside of the tent where the divider meets the wall. You will never have access to more than one side floor at a time for beds, cots, chairs etc. You will need to think of the two sides of the tent as two separate and permanent rooms. All in all an awesome tent, but you should be thinking long term investment because of the price.
