4.0 out of 5 stars camp kitchen
The camping kitchen works great for tent camping. It gives you a work space for food prep and cooking on a stove. It sets up very easily in seconds. For me it helped clear off the picnic table so theres more room for other things, like playing board or card games. I gave the "kitchen" 4 stars because the game top is a little flimsy. 1.0 out of 5 stars Probrably Not Gonna Make That Second Camping Trip
I actually got one of these for free through a workplace-related promotion rather than through Amazon. I pretty much got what I paid for. This rickety contraption has worn pretty poorly and is a well-stained mess at this point. I guess it can't be too solidly built given it has to be portable but seems like they could have done a better job with it.

(made out of plastic) and the cover is vinyl, (should be canvas) which got slightly dammaged in shipping;likely to happen with use anyway. The hinges rubbed holes in it on one side.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coleman Camp Kitchen Report, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Coleman Exponent Outfitter Camp Kitchen (Sports)
Simply stated, it is the ideal outdoor utility. This is the second unit that I've purchased. My first unit was stolen. I'm sure whomever the culprit was that stole it, is enjoying it as much as I did. It would be too bad if a bear caught scent of their kitchen and disembowled them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea - Could be Even Better, August 1, 2008

This unit is an all around great design with alot of space for either a tent camper or trailer camper who eats outside alot. I have not used it for day tripping but would work great as well if you wanted space along side the picnic area. It folds easily. It is a bit heavy but nothing that a healthy adult can't handle. Unit comes with very nice protective cover as well. My wifes favorite feature is the backgammon board and my kids like the checker board on the top. A few suggestive comments. If you really want to use the sink you need a hose extension so the water is not draining at your feet or a 5 gal pail for collection. The table intenteded for the stove is a little bit low with todays "thin" design coleman stoves. I "customized" a milk crate and put the stove on top of that and then have an additional shelf below. The plastic suction cup towel rack is not very functional on the unit, but have elisted it into service inside the camper. Overall highly recommended

This is a great camp kitchen. It saves so much space. Now I don't have to share the campsite table with all the things I need for cooking and cleaning.

5.0 out of 5 stars One great camping kitchen!, February 15, 2009
This review is from: Coleman Exponent Outfitter Camp Kitchen (Sports)
I highly recommend this camp kitchen. I have been using mine now for several years and simply love it. It's easy to set up and breakdown and the built in sink is a great addition to it. Most of the camping I do is dispersed camping; after all, the whole idea of camping is to get away from people. So this camping kitchen is almost a must since there are not picnic tables where I go. I know the price seems a bit high but trust me, your getting quality and craftsmanship here. It's true you can get lesser expensive models, but you're getting what you pay for here. So I would recommend spending the extra money, you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent camp kitchen!, June 18, 2009
This review is from: Coleman Exponent Outfitter Camp Kitchen (Sports)
We go RVing a lot during the summer, and my husband likes to do the cooking. I've gotten him quite a few Coleman camp kitchen items, and this was to replace the original Coleman kitchen we bought 3 years ago. That kitchen had the accordion-folding base, with rather rickety legs that were breaking. This kitchen, however, is awesome! Good sturdy legs. A great stainless steel look. Our Road Trip grill fits great on the lower platform, with the extra grill plates on the shelf below, and we loved the little sink, although we didn't use it to wash dishes. The spice rack is also a great feature. The only thing missing is a place to hang a lantern, but other than that, it seems that Coleman did try to think of everything when they made this sturdy item. It even comes in its own canvas bag, which my husband loved when it came time to pack the kitchen away in the trailer.

We car camp about a few times a year and realized the most inconvenient part about camping is preparing meals and cleaning up. Received this in the mail and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and relative sturdiness. The only negatives are that it is pretty heavy and there isn't a good water drain system-- may have to use a 5 gallon bucket for this.
Unfortunately, have not had the chance to use it but looking forward to it.

This is a well engineered design and very useful for camping from car/truck. Sets up quickly and looks like it will last. I would recommend this to friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes camping sooooo much easier, May 1, 2011

I don't use it now (don't camp anymore!) but when my 4 children were younger, and we did camping with both Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts and also as a family, it was a godsend. Easy to pack and take and easy to clean, it helped me to make sure I always had a place to work and prep food so that the kids could use the table at the camp grounds. It was also easier to keep them safe from the propane camp stove. I confess we never used the game boards, but I didn't care!
