I use this as a lunchbox. I can take three aluminum cans, a gel ice pack, and my lunch, and it all stays cool. It's easy to carry and clean.

The insulation could be better... I also have an Igloo Maxcool (soft-sided, with a rigid liner and insulated padding) which insulates much better. This Coleman cooler keeps everything cool for about 5 hours. The larger Igloo keeps them cold about twice as long. But the Coleman is smaller and will last longer, and does keep things adequately cool.

Knocked off one point because of the mediocre insulation, but otherwise am quite pleased with this.

I love this lunch box. You can pack a sandwich, apple, and a small sized beverage in this Coleman personal cooler. I have found this particular cooler to be difficult to find at the franchised drug stores as well as the big name department stores. If you have trouble finding a small, portable cooler, then by all means place an order with amazon.com for your own Personal Cooler. I certainly love mine.

Great little cooler. Perfect for packing an individual lunch to work or school or for taking some treats for two to the beach. Keeps items cold with one small icepack (purchased separately).

When I purchased this 5 qt Coleman Flip Lid Cooler, I did not expect this cooler to be as small as it is.
Sorry, it will not hold enough food for an adult. I could not get 2 food containers in and close the lid!! Not even an orange on one side of the container.
Inside Measurements are:
8 5/8'' Long
6 1/8 Wide
5 1/4 Deep [ with lid closed ]
It takes both hands to yank the lid open, or if the handle is laying on the opening side, prying between the lid and the handle.
There are plastic seam lines from casting. I did not realize that lid does lay flat, then slides back to cover the interior. But it does not latch here. There are 2 indentions molded in for pop cans.
KMart has the 9 qt and 16 qt Excursion Cooler for less than I pd for this $14.50 model!! They are both better than this cheesy thing even though they share the same problem with getting the lid open! I hope the lid problem will go away after some use. As I cannot fit anything into it, I cannot rate the cooling capacity.

Great product as expected from Coleman. I did purchase two of these as it was Christmas presents for 2 young Amish boys who will use it for a lunch bucket for years until they are out of school and then when they start working. They were very happy with it and it made their Christmas happy.
Amazon service was excellent, shipping and receiving were very quick. Only a couple of days from when ordered right before Christmas.

Perfect for two people to have sandwiches and beer on the beach. Especially love how the top flips to become a can rest. You don't even need ice to keep things cold!

This is a really nice size for bringing snacks on a road trip. We pack some grapes, a couple of drinks and choclate bars with a few Blue Ice packs. The lid slides open and flips over giving you a place to set two cups.

I was looking for a hard shell cooler to take along a simple lunch. This is exactly what I wanted. Please note that the lid is held in place with the aid of the handle. No more squashed sandwiches.

Cooler is nice and small. Great for 6 cans of soda or beer. Small size is convenient and it has indentations on bottom of lid for cans to sit. Convenient!

Sorry, but this is a purchase I regret. This lunchbox is small and does NOT keep contents cool. Found another lunchbox a size bigger for less money at Walmart. Wish I'd seen it first. I love to order from Amazon, but not this time.
