5.0 out of 5 stars Coleman Air Pump
I've had this pump for a couple of months now and I really like it. It works great for cars, bikes, and air mattresses and pretty much everything else. It seems solidly built and I like the twist-on connection valve-it seals perfectly. The gauge seems to be quite accurate (at least it matches up with my cheap pressure gauge). It includes a bunch of adapter valves...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great until it breaks
I used this pump 3 times on bicycle tires and once on an automobile tire and was satisfied with it. However, after only a few months, some plastic part under the slide switch broke, and it no longer works. Disappointing, especially since it received gentle treatment, never leaving the garage and stowed in it's original packaging. I replaced it with a Blackburn...

It includes a bunch of adapter valves nicely tucked away. The cord from the DC power (cigarette lighter, etc. ) seems plenty long. I have a Jeep Cherokee and it reaches all my tires with several feet of cord to spare. Definetly worth it to have in the car in case of emergency, and just plain handy to have for everything else.

Disappointing, especially since it received gentle treatment, never leaving the garage and stowed in it's original packaging. I replaced it with a Blackburn AirTower4 hand pump. Little more work, but a lot less to go wrong.

We've only used the low pressure pump part of this product to inflate our inflatable boat, but it works really great - quickly and completely inflates the boat within about 10 minutes. The nozzle fits the Boston air valves and has an adaptor for smaller air valves. The high volume pump / high pressure air compressor came with all the required pieces to inflate just about anything. The compressor side has a pressure gage and numerous fittings. My one (rather small) complaint is that the high pressure hose and nozzle does not fit inside the unit, nor is there anyway to store it outside the unit (such as with clips or something). Everything else is stored inside the unit, including the car adaptor cord and the hose and fittings for the air compressor. A very neat, tidy and useful unit overall.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worked OK for a year and then died, May 5, 2008

For 1 year the pump worked OK. It does not have much power so inflating tires takes a long time. Guage seemed to be OK.

However, the pump is it died in 12 months and could not be fixed. I had a mechanic look at it and he said the electrical elements were toast. His opinion (and I agree with it after opening it up) is that the thing is cheaply made.

I bought one of these and used it for a year to keep the tires on my cars properly inflated. I was so pleased with it, I bought another to keep in my second car for emergencies.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great camping air pump, October 29, 2007

This pump represents a huge step in the right direction over the foot pumps and small electric pumps I've used in the past. This quickly (i.e. less than 2 minutes) filled our queen sized camping mattress...which was much appreciated as we arrived at our campsite late and were setting up the tent, mattress, etc. in the dark!

At the end of the trip was the biggest bonus. In the past when I've used other "solutions", deflating anything inflatable was an onerous task usually involving someone "squishing" the inflatable by hand repeatedly until enough air had been removed to roll or fold it up for packing. In this case, I merely connected the provided hose to the "deflate" inlet, turned the pump on and in less than 2 minutes our queen sized mattress was devoid of any air and was ready to be folded, rolled and put away! I was one very happy camper to say the least.

In closing, I highly recommend this product. The reason I did not give it five stars was the length of the 12V DC cord. It would be easier to use if it was say somewhere between 6 to 12 feet longer so that close proximity to a car's cigarette lighter wasn't necessary. Other than this, this is a solid device that does what it was designed to do and it does it quite well.

Tired of going to service stations and paying to inflate tires.
This air pump is simple to use, enter air pressure you want after
attaching to tire nozzle. Turn on and that's it. I love it.
