I purchased the fannypacks for my 5 and 3 year old grandchildren. Since they are called "kids," I thought that they would be child-size. However, when they arrived I discovered that they are made for adolescents, requiring the belt to be shortened several inches for our family's use. In fact, the tag says "intended for children 8 and over." It would have been helpful if that information had been included in the online description. Having a pouch for a drink bottle is a good feature, and the quality is good. The size is just larger than the online info implies.

I purchased this for my son, 9yrs, to go on a week long cub scout camping trip. The price is great and the quality of the pack is good. It should be durable and the belt holds the tension all day. It is probably large enough to be an adult pack, might be to large for a boy less than 7 year old.

The main problem with the pack is the water bottle. It is very difficult to pop the top off the bottle, even for an adult. There is no way my son's hands are strong enough to open the bottle which made my son seek adult assistance every time he needed to fill his bottle. I have since replaced the bottle with a screw off cap type bottle from a different pack.

I purchased this fanny pack for my nine year old daughter. We do a lot of hiking as a family, and this pack is just right for her. It arrived in no time, which is always great when you have an eager young one. She is petite for her age, and the pack fits her fine and is completely comfortable. Wish it came in more "girly" colors, but she loves it anyway. We've never been disappointed with a Coleman product!

Neat little waist pack, but still much too big for my boys, ages 3, 5, and 7. Advertised as a child size one, but straps were way too long to fit any of them snugly, and even if they did, it was still too bulky. None of mine wanted to wear it saying it was annoying and uncomfortable. We went with child-size Camelbak hydration backpacks instead (found online at a good price). They can wear on hikes and bike rides and never complain about wearing them.

I bought two of these fanny packs for my grandkids, ages 6 and 7. Most other children's fanny packs are too small to carry what they need to carry at Disney. They could carry a disposable camera, sunglasses, bottle of water (bottle comes with it) their autograph books, money, and a snack. That way the parent doesn't have to carry everything and dig in their bag everytime the child needs a drink etc. Would be good for kids all the way up to adolescent.

My eight and seven yr old boys took these to Disney World. It was great for them to carry there own water and snacks. I also put there ponchos and park tickets in them. The straps are Really big and don't adjust down. It fit on my eight yr old fine and we sewed the one for my seven yr old. I think they would be a better fit for 10 and up. If you can sew them I say Do. If not you may want to look for a smaller pack. I wore one for two days while there, and it held everything we needed for two people no problem.

The fannypack was pretty big, but it will work great for my 9 and 7 year olds. Lots of room to pack stuff. I still purchased one for my 3 year old, but it is very bulky on him. He will still enjoy it though. I think the product works well for ages 6 and up.

This product has little pockets, and a big one. Great for kids when hiking or biking. My grand-daughter loved it!
