About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.
In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

A little too soft...,

This review is from: Coleman King Quickbed with Wrap 'N' Roll Storage (Sports)
It fits perfectly for what we wanted, but then when we put air in it...the mattress did not seem to have enough air. I thought at first it had a hole in it, but it would just leak so very slowly, unlike a leaky air mattress that when you wake up in the morning, you are on the floor. I decided to keep it anyways because of our situation at the time. It still like sleeping in a water bed......

I bought this mattress for daily home use, not for camping. I put a 2 inch memory foam topper on it. It provides a good night's sleep. It is light (compared to innerspring and foam mattresses) and easy to handle. I already had a Coleman pump, so I can set the firmness or softness to my liking. My king sized fitted sheets fit the mattress well. I would recommend sheets with deep pockets. I use this mattress on a bed frame with a headboard and a foot board. Blankets and sheets stay in place when the foot of the mattress is pushed against the foot of the bed frame. If the mattress does not fit snuggly against the foot board, place pillows or rolled blankets between the headboard and the mattress to hold it in place. If your blankets are short or you don't have a foot board, place a flat sheet over the blankets like a spread; wrap it around the foot of the mattress; and tucked at least 6 inches (about 15 cm) beneath the foot of the mattress. If you do not have a footboard, a 12 inch (30 cm) tuck would be better to hold the blankets in place. This mattress is an improvement over the previous model from Coleman. The bumps on top seem to provide a soft cushion while the body of the mattress is firm at the inflation level I use.
I gave it five stars based on quality for the money. There are several better mattresses out there, but not at this price. I do not use Wrap "N" Roll and have considered cutting the canvas wrapper off. I expect the mattress to last 18 to 24 months with daily use.

Cracks at "joints" - large size yet poor construction,
This review is from: Coleman King Quickbed with Wrap 'N' Roll Storage (Sports)
Bring a 2nd air mattress along to make sure this one doesn't crack!
Mattress has cracked twice at the "joint" spaces - in the depressed circles that connect both sides of the mattress. Have used Aquaseal twice...this is frustrating! This expensive sealant (purchased from a dive shop) works amazingly well on smooth, vinyl side but jury is out on how well it will seal on upper side covered with fabric. Also, flip cover that plugs inlet hole broke off easily. Made in China (like all others)...what can I say? This is the only King size avail in any brand so I'm stuck with it.
