Simply put, this is a great fold out chair. This style of chair floods the market during the summertime and it is easy to grab a cheap one for under $10. I have found they fall apart just as quickly however, and you get what you pay for.

This Coleman chair is worth every penny - it's comfortable, supportive, sturdy, convenient, and roomy. The cup holder is a common feature, but the cooler that is built into the left arm is unique. You could get an ice pack separately, but I have found that a handful or two of ice cubes in a small ziplock bag works just fine. The cooler is lined with the same type of plastic liner that you'd find in some child lunch bags. It comfortably fits 3 bottles with 2 small bags of ice. The side pouch with netting is good for keys, books, phone, sunblock, bugspray, or whatever else you're carrying with you. It saves me a few trips to the cooler/car/apartment and that's worth a few bucks in and of itself if you ask me.

It's a bit bulkier/bigger/heavier than its cheaper counterparts, so the pack up and carrying is really the only negative I can think of.

3+ years later it's still holding strong. Some rust has developed around the metal grommets and legs, and the plastic inlay of the edge of the cup holder has broken off, but it's still my go to chair for the beach, camping, the park and BBQs. I agree that I have sat in more comfortable chairs in my life, but I can spend several hours in this quite happily in front of a campfire and my expectations for a folding chair are a bit different from a recliner our lounge chair :)

It's easy to get into and out of and the attached cooler is very convenient for soda cans and other items he might want to keep cool. Even the color is nice.

I bought this chair to take with me to the dog park (the benches at the dog park are SO unconfortable, and one of my pooches likes to play there for a LONG time). The chair is light and comes with a carry case, so it's very easy to bring along. It's got a high back, and so I can just sit back, relax, and watch the pooches play.

Chair is prefect if you are a bigger person, I am a heavy person and this chair did not break, or bend like other chairs have done on me in the past.

This is by far the best outside chair we've ever purchased. It is so comfortable and spacious. I bought one for my husband and got it home and I liked it so much I took it over and had to get him another one. It is very comfortable and cushioned.

I've used these chairs on two campouts so far and they work great. Even if you're a little heavier set, they're still comfortable and sturdy. The chair is a little wider than most and the sides won't dig into your legs. I don't use the cooler or cup holder much, but they're handy for putting stuff in. The price seemed very reasonable too compared to the other options that are out there.

Lately, I have been attending lots of those outdoors, "bring your own chair" events. My friend, Carolyn, loaned me one of her foldable camp chairs, but after awhile, I decided that it was time to buy one of my own. I have to say that this Coleman chair is way more comfortable than the one Carolyn loaned me. (Sorry, C, but it's true. You'll just have to buy one for yourself now, because I'm not loaning you mine!) It's very roomy, and for a short person, it's nice to be able adjust the height of the armrests. Also, the cup holder is really convenient, and, c'mon -- a built-in cooler! What more could you want for your sitting outdoors all afternoon events? (Okay, a built-in bug-repelling device would be nice.) It comes with a handy carry bag with handle, but not being a really patient person when it comes to packing things, I've just been folding the chair up and stowing it in the car trunk. However, that leaves the handy carrying bag with handle available for carrying all the other stuff you need to take to those "bring your own chair" events!

From the photo this looked like the perfect chair to take to the beach or park. In fact, it is easy to set up and
it folds fairly easy and fits snugly in the bag that comes with it. I ordered two of them for my wife and I.
We have used it on two trips to the beach and we agreed they are just not very comfortable. You really can't lean back sitting in the chair and if you want to try and get comfortable you almost have to slouch in the chair. In addition, at 10 lbs each they are too heavy to lug around very far. These are not inexpensive chairs and I regret that I waited too long to send them back.
I'm still looking for a simple light weight chair I can take to the beach.

Unfortunately the max weight rating is only 225 lbs so if you are even close I wouldn't recommend, find an oversized one

We love our Coleman chairs. Light, easy to transport, very comfortable and we love the cup holder and cooler that are attached --- perfect for outdoor concerts and camping.....
