Reason for this review is our outstanding Coleman cooler had the hinges crack and break at the "hinge" flex part. The cooler is awesome, its the extreme model and holds ice like crazy, but why do I have to replace the hinges? Why would I buy these again knowing they have a short life span? I'm considering it as they will fit, but don't like idea of having to replace them all the time.

These replacement hinges are a snap to install and fit perfectly. The reason they receive four stars instead of five is because I should never have had to replace them in the first place. Why Coleman installs a folding plastic hinge on an otherwise rugged cooler is beyond me.

The replacment hinges fit perfectly. You only need a screwdriver and it takes less than 5 minutes. I would purchase them again.

Very happy with this purchase. I didn't realize these were available. So much cheaper than replacing the cooler. Very easy installation too !

Coleman has you here, unless you make something yourself to support the lid it will break again. The hinge part is thin plastic which will crack and break after being in the weather. The price is high for what it is, but as I said earlier Coleman has you between a rock and a hard place.

I ordered incorrect part and it will cost me more to return it than i paid for it.... so i can't really review...

Exact replacment for the older hinges which were flalign apart. The oroginal was nto a robust design, however tne replament should extend th elife of the cooler a few more years.

The hinges I purchased are most likely the ones I got, however they are the wrong size. Looking at the packageing they looked the same but unfortunately there were no dimensions listed so there was no way of knowing for sure. The hinges did not come in the manufacturers packageing as shown...which really wouldn't have mattered if they had been the right ones. I will probably buy a new cooler instead of trying again as I believe the shipping was more than the item, or close to it.

Exactly what you'd expect. As far as I can tell they're factory parts, the same ones on retail-sold coolers. I replaced a broken hinge in my 4 year old 5-Day Extreme cooler and you can barely tell the difference. I was afraid removing the old screws would strip the holes but the new ones screwed in nice and tight, no issues.
