5.0 out of 5 stars Great for mummy bags!
This sack is great for mummy bags and good quality low compression bags. It is NOT good for giant dinosaur bags you buy at Walmart. If you buy big cheap (<$50) bags, this is not for you. Try a garbage bag....only thing that will likely fit. This sack works great for mummy bags well up to 0 degree ratings. Buy a good compressible bag and this will do the trick. Don;t be...

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't fit coleman bags
Bought a couple of these to use for our Coleman sleeping bags. They don't fit. The seams ripped out trying. Why would they make bags that don't fit their own sleeping bags?

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke firt try using, February 16, 2009
This review is from: Coleman Sleeping Bag Compression Sack (Sports)
Bought this Coleman Sleeping Bag Compression Sack for my son on his scouting trips. The first time we used it all the straps broke on it. Save your money and buy a better made Compression Sack.

1.0 out of 5 stars Total junk, November 4, 2008

This is a piece of crap. The strap broke right off when I tried to compress this Compression Sack. So totally worthless - without the straps it's way too bulky.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works, but..., September 6, 2006

I bought this because I previously purchased a Coleman sleeping bag that did not come with a bag. I assumed it would fit. Well, it does, but only with an awful lot of shoving. It's a great idea and works well, if you can get your bag into it. The straps along the side are very secure and offer further compression. There is a flap that fits just inside of the drawstring that should provide a decent amount of protection from the elements.

1.0 out of 5 stars Coleman should be ashamed!, November 8, 2009
This review is from: Coleman Sleeping Bag Compression Sack (Sports)
I purchased 2 of these brand new on ebay because we have 2 Coleman sleeping bags that have no storage cases, only the clear plastic packaging they came in. I wanted something with some sort of handle where we might be able to put the sleeping bag and a pillow inside together for girl scouting. One of the sacks came with a split seam. I tried putting a sleeping bag inside the other sack and couldn't even get it in. I don't know what Coleman was thinking when they designed this bag, but all I can imagine fitting in it would be a little kid's junior size sleeping bag or just a really thin flimsy one. The sleeping bags we have are excellent in every way. They are at least 10 years old and in perfect condition. I naturally thought that the quality would be the same as they are both made by Coleman, but Coleman should be ashamed of this sleeping bag compression sack!!! It is useless! Thankfully, my ebay seller had compassion and refunded my money on the one with the split seam. I'd love to find a good quality one with a handle/carry strap on it. I may end up making my own!

After reading a few bad reviews of this "compression" sack I decided to to just go for it. It was pretty cheap and I thought it couldn't be nearly as bad as I had read. It is that bad. It night be worse. At first glance I knew this thing wouldn't hold up to any amount of use, let alone abuse. After putting my coleman sleeping bag in the sack pulling the top shut, I started to pull the compression straps. The first one snapped off at the plastic. I ended up just tying it together. The other two held up for the first hike out. However, one more plastic bit broke off on the hike back. Now only one remains and I just tie 'em all tight. Not to mention that this doesn't compress much at all. All in all, spend a little more and buy something you will actually be able to use.

1.0 out of 5 stars Coleman Sleeping Bag Compression Sack, June 17, 2009
This review is from: Coleman Sleeping Bag Compression Sack (Sports)
This was without a doubt the worst purchase I have made on Amazon. I bought this item for a recent camping trip. The first time I used it, one of the straps plastic buckles broke, the next day two of the straps pulled off of the bag, by the end of the trip the bottom of the bag tore as I was removing my sleeping bag from the sack. For a company of Colemans reputation this is a very inferior product. I would not recomend this item to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Compression Bag, August 19, 2009
This review is from: Coleman Sleeping Bag Compression Sack (Sports)
I busted the buckel on a strap during the first time I closed my sleeping bag inside. The first time I opened the compression sack I grabbed the bottom to jerk out the sleeping bag and the bottom tore completely off the compression bag.
