Coleman Supersized Bear Trophy Dog Toy

One of my Aussies is very hard on stuffed toys, and this Bear has really withstood her abuse. First, she removed the only stuffing which was in the head and then with surgical precision removed all "squeekers" (located in each paw) otherwise the Bear is in good shape and has lasted over 2 years. Because it held up so well, I recently purchased 2 more to keep in reserve. I have reservations toward the Moose and (can't recall the other one) because they have antlers and such for her to chew/rip off.

My dog loved this bear. Past tense. It lasted 1.5 months. She's a strong chewer and I will say this bear lasted much longer than any other stuffed toy we've given her.

If you are looking at this one vs the raccoon and have a big chewer then get this bear because its much tougher.

I initially ordered this based on reviews and a friends recommendation. My 9 week old puppy loves to chew it and tromp around the house with it...(reaally cute to see this little tiny puppy drag a toy bigger then he is around the house!)
I often catch him asleep on it as well. This was a perfect toy for him. Thank you to everyone who reviewed this item!!! The squeakers in all paws and in the head are an added bonus.

Both my dogs love this toy! They carry it around the house and play tug of war with it. They are both larger dogs (golden retriever mixes) and this toy is a good size for them. Smaller dogs may have trouble with it since when mine carry it around in their mouths, its tends to drag on the floor - smaller dogs may trip on it! It is very durable. My dogs have played with it everyday for 2 weeks and it shows no sign of wear (other than slobber!) I also purchased the moose rug -equally as nice!

Our 9 year old Golden Retriever LOVES these big floppy "friends"! We now have three of these: Bullwinkle (the moose), Bill (the Buffalo) and Bear!
They're extremely durable and he retrieves each by name! Great fun for all!

My dogs LOVED this toy, as have all the dogs who have seen it :) Instant fun, right out of the box ! you could see them going 'allllllright mom!' when I pulled it out, skunk in the mail, 'our prayers have been answered'
It is a 'special' toy and put up between play sessions.

Our 4-month old Morkie got this for Christmas and is currently having a love/hate relationship with this bear. Hate in that he loves to chew and wrestle with it, Love in that he likes to drag it from room to room and even sleep on it (using the bear's head as a pillow). As "parents," we are delighted with this gift. Although don't tell our pup we ordered it from Amazon. He thinks it's from Santa!

Well, it took about a month, but I just noticed that there's a fist-sized hole in the bear's throat.... funny, as I never heard stitches popping when we played tug-o-war! I don't know how long the hole has been there, there's not a lot of stuffing to let me know.

Anyway, we still use it, regardless of the hole! I have a 30 lb sheltie who loves to play tug-o-war, though if I really *pull* on the toy, she lets go.... so it's a gentler kind of tug-o-war, I'll admit. She just hops and tugs and shakes the bear to her heart's content. My dog is not a determined toy destroyer, thankfully.

This toy is adorable, and it's actually better for my back, as I can hold onto a paw while my sheltie grabs hold of another paw, and I don't have to bend over (I'm 5'9"). Each paw has a squeaker, and the bear head has a "grunter", all of which are still functioning after month's worth of play.

I'm glad I bought it! It gets daily play at my house, it's clearly one of my dog's Top Two favorites. My sheltie looks so cute when she goes over to her toy basket and plucks this "bear rug" out, and prances about happily with it, all the while tripping on it because her legs are too short and the toy is so big as she drags it around. I'm going to have to buy a camcorder just to film my sheltie with this bear toy.

This is the 2nd Coleman bear I've bought for my Sheltie. The first one lasted over 4 years, through every day play and many machine washings. I was so happy to find another one on Amazon.com. I paid closer to $25 for the first one in a pet store. I may just buy the buffalo and moose, too.

This is an excellent dog toy that proved it can stand up to two golden retrievers that try to love all of their toys to death. BUT, it had one huge problem. That bear shed clumps of black 'fur' everywhere! It shed worse than my dogs do!! The bear left a trail of black everywhere The Boys went with it, and it wasn't unusual to find 'bear fur' sticking out of the corners of their mouths as well. I have to admit, my dogs adored the toy a lot more than I did! :-) The nice thing is that there are other brands of unstuffed toys on the market now, and they don't shed at all. We have an unstuffed fox that has been around for months and is as good as new with the occasional 'bath' in the washer and dryer. An added note, this bear isn't as big as I thought it would be, price considered. The Fox we have was half that price and has lasted twice as long.
