Toothpastes that meet ADA standards are all pretty much the same. The differences come down to aesthetics, affordability, and... allergies. Almost all toothpastes contain unspecified "flavoring" so if you are allergic to substances used as flavorings, you might have some painful trial-and-error ahead. This might save you a little trouble:

Colgate Fluoride Toothpaste doesn't contain Balsam of Peru.

Balsam of Peru is a flavoring of many toothpastes, notably AquaFresh. About 3% of the population is allergic (usually mildly, sometimes severely). This ingredient, usually just described as "flavoring," can appear in products described as mint, cinnamon, or clove.

This is a good product. Very minty. I'm used to the gel so this toothpaste seems a little pasty. I normally use Crest so comparing it to that, I couldn't really see a difference on my teeth. If it was a good price I'd buy it over my regular brand.

My family really loved the taste of this toothpaste. Although it's hard to determine the long-term results of the use of it, we'll certainly purchase it again.

This product passed the test with the kids, who are pretty picky about their toothpaste. The taste was good, which is important in making kids brush regularly. I'd recommend this product to family and friends and we'll be purchasing more.

This toothpaste has a very fresh flavor. I liked the way my mouth felt after using it. The fresh, minty taste stayed with me for a long time. I usually like gel toothpaste, but this one tasted and felt just as good as any gel toothpaste and seemed to do a better job cleaning my teeth.

This is the ONLY toothpaste I can use without getting a red burn on the skin around the corners of my mouth. I used to be able to brush my teeth with any toothpaste or gel that I wanted, like Crest, Aim, Aquafresh, etc., up to about 2 or 3 years ago. Now almost all of them, even some of the all-natural brands like Natural Dentist, cause irritation around my mouth. Except for Colgate Regular Paste. I don't know what's being added to all the other pastes that causes the redness, but I hope this Colgate one never uses that additive, whatever it may be. Otherwise I'll have to find a good recipe for homemade toothpaste!

No flaw in it. I would buy it again and I highly recommend this product to everyone.

In our house the Colgate toothpaste was a hit. We all (there are five of us) used it. Our three daughters used the toothpaste without complaint. That's a big plus for any product in our house. My husband and I also used it and decided it was good tasting and a product we will use in our home in the future. The idea of using a toothpaste with fluoride that the kids will use without complaint is great!!!

This is definitely not your father's toothpaste. It gives fresh meaning to the overused ""new and improved"". It has a fresh, minty taste and leaves your mouth feeling ""fresh washed"". Although it's too soon to know how accurate the ""cavity fighting"" claim is, but since it lives up to all the other claims, I see no reason why it won't be on target there, too.

This is a great toothpaste for the whole family and I'd recommend it to anyone. It left a great taste in my mouth, made my teeth feel clean and refreshed and it also helps to keep cavities away.
