tick tock big face, February 28, 2011

great watch for the price. does not loose time and the face is big enough to read without reading glasses.shaved off a star because this model is the slightly smaller face. otherwise, you can't go wrong with this watch. time will tell when and if this is a buy. historically, i find watches and lighters work great out of the box, until, the time comes to change a battery or refill the lighter. they never work well there after. sound familiar? i have owned a number of pocket watches and this one feels good for a 2 year run. for the price that is not bad - typical. my advise, get a mechanical pocket watch with swiss movement - around 80 us dollars and higher, but they will last forever and are fixable when necessary. quartz watches require whole movement replacement, running 40 us dollars and up. i use this watch every day and it looks expensive but japanese movement tells the real story. swiss movements, mechanical or quartz are a better buy; more expensive but a better buy.
