About the Author
Gerard Crombac, a Swiss motor racing journalist, was a close friend of Colin Chapman and helped in the Team Lotus pits for nearly three decades. In 1950 he joined the then new Autosport magazine, later founding the Paris-based Sport-Auto magazine. He lives in France.

I first read this book ten years ago. Buying it now I intend to enjoy it all over again. If you are at all interested in cars and have ever lifted a wrench in an attempt to wreak your own improvements, then you will appreciate this life story. The forword by Enzo Ferrari is the only reccomendation that you need.

Excellent account of the life of Colin Chapman and the Chapman days of Lotus. I couldn't put this book down once I started treading it. Highly recommended for all Lotus fans. I recently personally visited many of the locations mentioned in the book, very nostalgic.
