This review is from: Collage: Assembling Contemporary Art (Hardcover)
This is not a bad one, considering the many poor attempts at pinpointing collage throughout the years. There are some good interviews, especially with cover boy John Stezaker, and this good start to the book doubles the disappointment when reading the rest. Many interesting singular artists, yes, but oh so many off the topic. And why are they all from London? The artist descriptions are also very generic; this is the point where cut and paste shouldn't be applied.
