What a rip off! I bought this book based upon the description here, thinking it was a new book about collage techniques. It turned out it might claim to be a new book, but it's nothing but a reprint and repackaging of Jennifer Atkinson's nearly decade old "Collage Art: A Step-by-Step Guide and Showcase" and the more recent "Collage for the Soul" by Paula Grasdal and Holly Harrison. It is exactly the same. Since I already had both of the others, it would have been nice to have been told that, so that I could have saved myself the cost and disappointment of getting this.

This book is simply a reprint of Collage Art by Jennifer Atkinson and Collage For The Soul by Holly Harrison. Not a bad combination, but definitely a rip-off for those of us who already own both books.

I have an arts and crafts store and have had to put my copies of Collage Art on sale, because it's pointless carrying that book when, for the same price, they can get Collage Sourcebook. I was not informed by the publisher, when I ordered both together, and am very disappointed in them.

The book itself, is very good and, if you don't have the other two, Collage Sourcebook offers a less expensive way of owning them both. I do recomment purchase.

I was sorry to read the one poor review of this book, which I borrowed from my local library and have been drooling over for the past 3 weeks. However, I haven't seen either of the two previous books that the other review says this is a reproduction of. My library copy is due back soon, and I can't renew it, as others are clamoring for it. So I'm going to buy my own copy, which I know I will thoroughly enjoy!

The artwork throughout the book is inspirational. I leaf through the book to get my gears going, and then can't wait to rush downstairs to my garage/studio, to get to work. Plus, it's very informative on techniques that I'd love to explore, but haven't had the know-how to (especially encaustic). This is a great resource for me, since I can't afford to take any art workshops or classes right now.
