Quick read, pretty entertaining for collectors and non-collectors alike. Something about the stories of the children stealing action figures from corner stores was hilarious to me. The personal aspects of the story (home/family life) were quite sad and dark, but life can be that way sometimes. The icons/picture for each of the action figures were great, as were the details of the acquisition of each figure.

This was a fun read. I always hated finding an open empty package of a figure I needed though, lol. This got me trying to remember my own timeline of when I got my own figures. I can remember some, trying to fill in the gaps though.

Kurt is an entertaining writer and this book is funny and also brings back the nostalgia of waiting for the Star Wars movies to come to the theater as well as spending hours hunting down the action figures and collectibles. I was also 7 when the movie first came out. After reading this book I had to watch Episode IV again. I didn't realize how much a part of my life this series was back then but reading this made me aware of how much impact it had. To this day when I hear the 20th Century music intro I think "Star Wars" and how I would run to the TV to watch the commercial. It was a fun read.

But it is a decent read if you are a Star Wars action figure fan. The writer gets a little too personal at times rather than sticking to the subject.
