5.0 out of 5 stars Great teacup guide, July 18, 2000

This is a great collection of the different types of teacups. Very helpful to an avid china collector! There are not very many books in this area of antiques, so I was thrilled to find this first edition. The second edition is also wonderful too. Highly recommend for the novice collector, to the avid ones!

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better than Book 1!, March 14, 2000
By
This review is from: Collectible Cups & Saucers: Book ll (Paperback)
I found Book 1 to be very helpful to me as a beginning serious collector and Book 2 has been much more so as my collection has grown. I loved the marks section with color photographs of marks and have used it in dating some of my cup and saucer sets. I also found the sketches of shapes and handles of cups to be useful in descriptions for the inventory of my collection. Pictures of old trade cards are a charming touch and reproduced old catalog pages, extra photographs and added information greatly add to the enjoyment of this book for a novice or experienced collector.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is not helpful at all, January 23, 1999
By A Customer
This book is not helpful in identifying teacups at all. Of the thousands and thousands of styles and designs of teacps that exist, this book shows pictures of only about 200. Most of the pictures are dark or unclear and no maker's marks are shown. This book is basically just one person's collection and is no help to other collectors.
