This book is very very helpful. The illustrations are outstanding and with each picture there is a value. It is full of very beautiful and unique pieces and I use it constantly to look up a particular piece prior to purchasing it. I would highly recommnend that anyone interested in MIOJ purchase this book.

Good intro/preface. It's a good book, but it would be near impossible to get all the representative "occupied Japan" items in one book. I would've liked to seen the attempt in this one, LOL. What this book doesn't cover, another may.............
