Collecting Whistles
A well done colorful 160 page book with a helpful price list. It is copyrighted 1995 so the prices are a little outdated!I would have liked an addition of more of the U.S. Military whistle varieties as that is the focus of my collection.The book was most helpful in describing the history and identification of the listed items. Hopefully there will be a 2nd edition soon.

This should be titled collecting toy whistles
I collect Hudson whistles (British Bobby whistles) and I had hoped this book would give me some useful information. However I was disappointed to see there was only one page that talked about Hudson whistles. Most of the book shows pictures of various types of toy whistles. There is a couple of sentances with many of the pictures giving a date or country of...

I collect Hudson whistles (British Bobby whistles) and I had hoped this book would give me some useful information. However I was disappointed to see there was only one page that talked about Hudson whistles. Most of the book shows pictures of various types of toy whistles. There is a couple of sentances with many of the pictures giving a date or country of manufacture. The photos are well done, in color and very clear and crisp. So, if you collect toy whistles this book does have some value.
