Both her pop & disco sides, October 6, 2002
This review is from: Collection (Audio CD)
An excellent collection of Amanda's greatest hits, including her Faustian and atmospheric Follow Me from the Sweet Revenge album plus four more songs from same. These are all great examples of electronic Eurodisco with soul, while the others are fairly good pop songs from other albums. There are two songs that I miss though - her brilliant version of Lili Marleen that was a disco hit way back in 1979 and the memorable French pop song Egal from her 1981 album Incognito that seems to be out of print now. If you like Amanda Lear, be sure to check out her book My Life With Dali, an account of her 10-year plus close friendship with the genius painter Salvador Dali. Musically, the best introduction to Amanda remains her aforementioned disco concept album Sweet Revenge.

I dont know how this euro popdiva does it, but she is been doing it for the past twenty years. This album is a compilation of her other albums who still sound as fresh as ever.
