Blast from your past (the early BB King), November 25, 1999

Well... I've been a BB King fan for some years and I was quite pleased with this box set. What I liked most was the inclusion of his Gospel music. Songs like "Precious Lord" and "Save a seat for Me" are done with great conviction and sound terrific. The other CD is partly live partly early studio works. There are 2 problems with the CD. The sound quality isn't that great (esp on the 2nd disc) and they just aren't long enough. But hey... I liked it you might to ;-)

B.B King is Incredible here.The Balance Between Blues&Gospel is A TRUE TEST OF HIS GENIUS.HE Has Been A Great Artist for so Long&Honest about his Craft.My Favorite Jam Here is How Blue Can You Get.His Voice&Guitar Picking are HIS TRADEMARK.
