While on vacation in the Southwest, primarily to visit the Grand Canyon, I heard music from this album over a loudspeaker at a restaurant where we stopped for dinner. When the last song played--it was "Star People"--I had to know what this music was. So I asked the restaurant owner, he told me, and I bought the CD right then and there. Both my husband and I listen to it quite frequently. For some odd reason, it brings about peace, contentment, excitement, and joy. It is both upbeat and serene. We like all kinds of music, but this album is turning out to be our favorite.

I am pleased to share with everyone my thoughts on this album by the Brule Native American Sioux Nation. I just got this CD for Christmas and it makes my heart feel really good. It is such an Acomplishment for Roche and I wanna say congratulations. As I take a musical journey throught my culture I am reminded of where I came from and what tradition we hold dear to us. So many people will be touched by this ablum and have been I am sure. And to let people know the true meaning of this vast and wonderful culture is also very pleasing to me. Anybody who is anybody should get this Ablum and enjoy the richness of the music. Thank you. T.J

I was browsing thru You Tube the other day to find some more buffalo videos,when I came across Buffalo Moon.Well that was it!I was hooked,at the same time I also found Spirit Horses.Now I really got interested.I bought both The Collection and We the People.Yes the music is not what you expect from Native American sound,but each track goes under your skin!You can feel the emotions flowing thru every tune.Brule really has put his whole heart and soul in it,love it!!!

I enjoy this CD very much. There is good variety in the music. I play it while in my office at work. It is not distracting and lends a positive mood to my environment.

While on a pilgrimage to the Black Hills area with 10 young people and chaparones, we listened to this album "The Collection" while traveling through some awesome country.....Praries, Mts. etc. This group presents American Indian music (Lakota) in a contemporary style that captures the essense of some of the chanting and instruments that we tradtionally associate with Indian music. This album is wonderfully varied in that one can hear restful, quiet melodic sounds as well as some songs that are upbeat and loud and almost rock style. It certainly has enriched my life and added great diversity to my love of all music.

I'm not disappointed. This is a great into to Brule.
I can't believe such great music exists.

This Group Speaks Directly To The SPIRIT Of Life That Stirs In Us All. The Music Is Uplifitng and Takes You TO A Higher Place In Your Mind. It Is A Great Escpae From Life's Let Downs. The Exhilarating Beat Of The Music Allows You To Escape To A Place Of Power.

I bought this CD after hearing played in a store in Kearney, NE. I knew as I listened to it I had to have it. I resonated within my soul.

This CD never fails to lift my spirits & get me going. I often find myself up dancing to my favorite songs which is great since I work at home and sit most of the day on the computer. The reviewer who said it was a waste of money should hang his/her head. This is the best compilations & a great one to start with if you have none of the others.

I was listening to [...] and have some Ah*Nee*Mah (which I LOVE) and had searched for some of their music, and when you do, The Radio keeps you on that channel. Next, some Brule played, and I had to see what it was that was playing, as it really was a beautiful tune. Then I bought the disc off Amazon, and I have played it since it arrived. Over and over and over again....it is simply fabulous music. Awesome stuff. I highly recommend it!
