I ordered this for my father who is 85. He is an avid Zane Grey reader and I thought he'd like the 'old time movies' by the same author. He really enjoyed them, said they were like the ones he'd enjoyed as a boy on Saturday at the movies. My mother even enjoyed watching them, and she HATES movies. Great purchase, I would recommend them to any Western Movie Lover out there.

Purchased for my Dad. He said it was one of the best added to his collection. He is an avid Western Fan.

I bought this Platinum Disc 5 western collection of Zane Grey titles, including "Fighting Caravans" with Gary Cooper; "The Fighting Westerner" with Randolph Scott; "Hell Town" with John Wayne & John Mack Brown; "To The Last Man" with Randolph Scott & Buster Crabbe; and finally "Drift Fence" with Buster Crabbe & Tom Keene--featuring a very young Robert Cummings & Marsha Hunt-------I had all of these titles from other sources and these were the best quality, picture & sound wise of all of them---Very Good value for the asking price-----If you like Zane Grey's Tales of the old west, you cannot beat this 5 Feature collection---Top Draw & 5 stars all the way-----

Have ordered this DVD twice now. Format say that it is in COLOR!!! Not so!
BLACK AND WHITE ONLY. Am on phone now amost an hour trying to resolve issue. Do not order this item if you want it in color.

I ordered this for my mother because she is a Zane fan. And while Zane's work has certainly stood the test of time, the DVD unfortunately needs serious work, from technical aspects to the artistic. The DVD is in desperate need of digital remastering-the sound is so fuzzy you can hardly understand what is being said and generally it needs to be cleaned up. Today's listeners, even the elderly, are used to modern advances in technical quality.

Then there are the artistic issues: inciting incident too far in, inconsequential material taking up too much time, lines that are supposed to be witty but aren't, overacting, etc. Rescuing the "new bridegroom"...we got the point after three lines.
