5.0 out of 5 stars A great collection
This is a great CD, especially for someone just getting into Keiko's music. It contains a "collection" of songs from two of her CDs, Under Northern Lights and No Borders (her 2nd and 3rd CDs respectively). The best half of each of these CDs is present on Collection. It is an odd concept, but it works because the songs from those CDs that are left off...

Matsui Narada Jazz and Matsui GRP , with her partner Nakamoto are the same and , Are They ? . Yes , but Matsui GRP sounds like a bad remake of David Sanborn's Straight into the Heart with that GRP Generic Sound that really gives me the creeps . But , hey , that`s me . This is a great CD, especially for someone just getting into Keiko's music. It contains a "collection" of songs from two of her CDs, Under Northern Lights and No Borders (her 2nd and 3rd CDs respectively). The best half of each of these CDs is present on Collection. It is an odd concept, but it works because the songs from those CDs that are left off Collection contain lyrics, and I believe that, for the most part, her best work is purely instrumental. This CD is thus listening pleasure from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soothing and mood elevating, March 18, 1999

I stumbled onto Keiko Matsui when I was buying Vanessa Mae's storm and never regretted it . If Vanessa Mae can stir up a 'storm', then Keiko is the eye of the storm !! I would recommend first time listeners to start with "Full moon and the shrine" and then buy this cd. Warning : Keiko Matsui is very addictive !!

KEIKO is one of the few women who ranks in the top three for real music.I tell you, she plays for stage, dancing, exercising and relaxing all role into one.
