This CD contains 20 tracks recorded between 1930 and 1939, when M. Chevalier was relatively young. The freshness and vitality of youth are very apparent. The enjoyment of this album, however, is diminished by rather dated sound. As far as my personal tastes go, I doubt if I will be playing this production in the future.
