Essential source of optimization test problems,

This review is from: A Collection of Test Problems for Constrained Global Optimization Algorithms (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) (Paperback)
This is a truly comprehensive set of test problems (some quite challenging), assembled by Professor Floudas of Princeton University, one of the maestros of formal mathematical optimization. Many of the problems are sure bets to defeat most home-grown codes, I think. Add these to the sets assembled by Professor K. Schittkowski and you'll stay busy (and happy) trying to solve some real ticklers.
