All these songs are making me dig out all their other CDs and play them. Their music is humorous, their love songs spellbinding, when singing for a cause, they draw you in and make you feel it as they do.

Undiscovered Folk giants,

The Shaw Brothers are among the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. They hail from southern New Hampshire, and they still give concerts around Merrimack, Nashua, and vicinity.Their repertoire is a great mixture of folk classics and original works, much of it centered on New Hampshire history and culture. If you're a real New Englander, you can't help being moved by these guys--I don't understand why they aren't world famous. This CD is the only collection of Shaw Brothers' work available today. Their earlier releases, like ``Floating Down the Merrimack'', are no longer made. Some wonderful songs are missing, but everything on this CD is excellent.

WOW! Great web site on Amazon, Rick & Ron! I am going to love listening to these samples for quite a while, I'll tell you. You come across well, and this is a good production of all your life's work! Keep it up! We love ya! It has been many a mile since we were at UNH together, and I was first astonished at your talents "freshman week" in 1961! You came out on the stage at New Hampshire Hall, and I knew I had chosen a great college for an experience! We have been so proud ever since, and I cherish my personal history about helping you to get going again at the old Oxen Yoke in North Conway. Your sound is as good as ever, and anyone who loves folk music of our era should own all your albums (now on CD's)! I've got my own web page up now on my nature writing work: [...] Check it out!

rick and ron shaw have been new hampshires musical ambassadors for many years. theyare great song writers and singers and i rate ricks voice equivalent to bob shanes and jim reeves.they are twin brothers and you can hear the beautiful family harmony in their voices.we up in the northeast are very luckey to have theproffesional talents of the shawbrothers. enjoy new hampshires state song "NEW HAMPSHIRE NATUALLY". recall the day the tall shps came to BOSTON in 1976 both written by rick. enjoy rons "afallal talk a funny song about quail hunting and "HAND ME DOWN MY JOGGING SHOES TONIGHT" rons song about the jogging craze of the 1970s

I'm fortunate that Rick and Ron are friends of the family, boyhood friends of my father. They taught me how to sing, something of a superlative skill of theirs, closely matched by their songwriting talent. You've heard their music, just never really known it. Coca-Cola aquired and modified their song "I'd like to teach the world to sing" into "I'd like to buy the world a coke". Folk music, folk humour, good folks. Thanks to the Shaw brothers, I learned to love *ALL* music! Share their pleasure, their sense of awe (The tall ships, from the '76 event), their sense of humour, and their heartbreakingly tender love songs. Seven Daffodils is one of my favourite songs I've ever heard in my life, and I'm a DJ with a CD collection numbering in the thousands. = ] It's a priviledge for me to sit at the dinner table with these men at my folks house before going to enjoy one of their teriffic concerts. Thank you guys. = ]
