I purchased two of this set, I liked the first one so much I had to buy another to debox. The dolls are lovely reproductions of the vintage dolls, though the original titian-haird 1964 Swirl Ponytail Barbie doll was not available with the bubble-gum pink lip and nail color. Coral lips and nails would have been more accurate. But it's a lovely doll nonetheless, and the Skipper doll is adorable. I hope Mattel creates more repro Skipper dolls, as well as Skooter and Ricky. This set comes with a cardboard backdrop that is based on Barbie's New Restyled Dream House, and it's a wonderful bonus. I have several of my vintage repro dolls displayed in front of it. Great set, definitely worth the price.

This Barbie & Skipper make an excellent addition to my collection of Barbies. I bought it to collect not to play with. I love it and recommend it.

I ordered this because it seemed like a good deal and always wanted the Skipper and Barbie dolls I never received as a kid. They have nice painted faces and clothes, but the Skipper's hair is nothing like the originals, the bangs are too thin and the dolls hair is not soft and lifelike like the older dolls.
I decided to invest in the original Skipper dolls instead and you can find good deals on Ebay by the 1960's dolls which have better value.
I feel this item is a waste of money and would not recommend it, ended up just giving it away to my grand
daughter and she doesn't even play with them. Oh well!

Barbie & Skipper again make a winning pair with this reproduction vintage set. Their outfits are vintage 60's "good girl". I lost my Skipper many years past, so I was glad to find a repro Skipper. A must for Barbie lovers of all ages.

My wife was aware of this offering but wasn't sure it was still available. When we found it through Amazon she was tickled pink!

This pair is a reproduction and a very good reproduction at that. I love how they really do look like the original dolls.

Have been looking to add to my collection of Barbie, family and friends, this one is extremely good since it has a younger Skipper than what is on sale in stores now. Now just have to keep looking for the brother of Barbie to complete the family as I have all of the sisters(I hope).

Sometimes, Mattel's packaging is so creative and charming, you simply don't want to remove the doll from the box. (Definitely the case with the wonderful "See's Candy Barbie" and "Barbie Learns to Cook")

Here, too, whoever designed the packaging has a wonderful sense of color and visual harmony. This set is an absolute retro delight...down to the adorably detailed bowl of yarn with tiny scissors!

Also, a rare use of redheaded Barbie and Skipper!
